The California Communications Association (CalCom) represents all of the Incumbent Local Exchange

Carriers (ILECs) serving California. This trade association has existed since 1917 and has a proud heritage of serving the wireline companies, as well as the vendor community that supports and supplies these companies. Once a year, CalCom publishes its directory to a broad range of interested parties, including members, vendors, regulators, legislators and the general public, in an ongoing effort to enhance networking and to continue building on the positive image CalCom has attained.

We thank you for your interest and support and look forward to seeing you at CalCom meetings and events in 2010.

For day-to-day updates, visit our website at www.calcomwebsite.com.

Sincerely,Margaret C. Felts - PRESIDENT, CALCOM

HOW TO JOIN CALCOM

You can become an Associate Member of the California

Communications Association!

BenefitsThe benefits of becoming a member are readily obvious as you page through our directory & magazine and scope out the website. CalCom creates opportunities for you to meet and interact with our member companies, the Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs) of California. In addition, we keep track of other vendor companies and their employees so you will be able to find them when you need them.

But most important, CalCom actively serves its members by making sure the California Public Utilities Commission and state legislators have the information they need to make rational decisions. CalCom committees, staffed entirely by member and associate company volunteers, are very active and frequently set up meetings with key regulators and members of the Legislature to bring their views directly to the decision makers.

As a member you will receive:• A voice at the California Public Utilities Commission and in the California Legislature

• Discounts on services and CalCom items for sale

• Opportunities to meet and interact with California’s ILEC management and key employees

• Access to the members-only section of our website

• Regular news updates on the website

• A listing in the CalCom Membership Directory

• A copy of the CalCom Membership Directory

CalCom sponsors the largest trade show in the western United States, designed specifically to bring the best the market has to offer to our members and associates.

Associate members who supply the ILECs have a voice through our very active Suppliers’ Committee. This committee meets frequently and plans at least two golf events a year, in addition to planning the Tech Expo. The committee is also a resource for CalCom training courses.

Membership dues are only $400 a year

If you’re interested in being a part of all this, it’s easy to do. Complete the Associate Member application, enclose your check or credit card information and return to CalCom.
