Sundays mass was a very special, memorable occasion for all involved. Our children read beautifully, were well prepared, reverent and respectful of the mass protocols at all times. Special thanks to all the families for your support and guidance of these young people and to Mrs Parrella for her thorough preparation of the childrens understanding of this important and spiritually nourishing sacrament. Thanks also to our fantastic volunteer choir members who added their wonderful voices to provide depth to the hymns and to our Yr 6 instrumentalists, Imogen Sartorello and Michael Woo, for their heart wrenching duet performance of Alleluia’. Mrs Cotton deserves accolades too for coordinating the music for the mass. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Father Grant Gorddard for officiating at his very first sacrament for our school and parish children. Father Grant made sure he was available for all practices prior to Sundays mass and was very patient with our children and staff in the organisational process. Tomorrow the children from Kindy to Yr 6 will be involved in Science Workshop sessions around the topic of sustainability and today the Kindy and Pre Primary classes had a visit from an Eco Fairy in the afternoon. You will be able to hear more about it on our facebook page very soon I am sure! Next week, from the 20 th to 24 th August, I will be away from school on Long Service Leave so please contact either of the APs, Mr Mark Beresford or Miss Ashlee De Campo, if you need to inform the school about anything. See you at the Disco! Regards Mary Bizzaca Principal

Dear Parents Congratulations to all our Year 4 students who either made their First Communion on Sunday or are about to make it this Saturday evening. Sunday’s mass was a very special, memorable occasion for all involved. Our children read beautifully, were well prepared, reverent and respectful of the mass protocols at all times. Special thanks to all the families for your support and

Thanks also to our fantastic volunteer choir members who added their wonderful voices to provide depth to the hymns and to our Yr 6 instrumentalists, Imogen Sartorello and Michael Woo, for their heart wrenching duet performance of ‘Alleluia’. Sustainability The weather has been perfect for our vegetable patch! Recently we harvested some of the delicious vegetables that we have been growing to eat and share with our community. We sold some bunches of lettuce and spinach to our families and raised money for the Year 6 Graduation! The carrots, beans and beetroot are still growing and we can’t wait to taste them all. Thank you to Mrs Harney for all of your help with our vegetable gardens.

Australian Maths Competition Well done to all the students who sat the Maths competition. 42 students had a go at this challenging task. I’m proud of you all. Rosalba Bottega
