Valley Bike Month officially runs April 1 - 30; however, a few events will take place before and after these dates. Avondale Spring Fling & Family Resource Fair Saturday, March 22 | 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Avondale Civic Center Amphitheater, 11465 W. Civic Center Drive, Avondale Celebrate the arrival of spring and learn ways to keep your family healthy. Health screenings, bike parade, bike decorating contest, bike safety and helmet booth (give-aways), bike raffle (two youth bicycles raffled), rides and games for all ages. Plus, a special visit by the Easter Bunny. Admission: Free (Cost for refreshments, rides and some activities). Bike helmets are required for all ride participants. Catch the Pioneer Days Parade at 10 a.m.! Bring your used plastic grocery bags to be recycled by Bashas’ Markets to get a ride t-shirt. There will experts with information on recycling, green building, solar energy, water conservation and other ways you can improve the environment.
