1. Before you start Before Calibration, prepare

1.1 Required PC specification 1.1.1 IBMPC

System Pentium MMX 200Mhz or higher or, compatible system

Operating system Windows XP Service Pack2 or higher

USB Interface USB 1.1 or 2,0 (USB 2.0 recommended)

1.2 USB to RS232 Converter - Converter of PC and Generator for data communication 1.3 Connector between USB to RS232 Converter and Generator

2. Program installation 2.1 Converter installation :

Converter Manual is provided with Converter and since the following explanation is quoted from the contents that are offered by manufacturer, there could be some differences according to manufacturer of Converter.

After finishing installation, it should be set up within Com5 in the Changes COM Port

※ If it is set up above Com6, PC Console could not operate correctly.

3. Driver Installation (WIN2000) Follow the steps below to install Window 2000 driver of USB-Serial cable: 1. Power on your computer and make sure that the USB port is enabled and working properly.

2. During installation , please don‟t link USB-Serial cable with your computer . 3. Double click „ setup.exe ‟ , then it will start install

4. After installation , click „ OK ‟ 5. Plug in the USB-Serial cable into the USB port and run the Found New Hardware Wizard to assist you in

setting up the new device. Click Next to continue.

6. click Next to continue. Select the “ Search for a suitable driver for my device(recommend) “

7. Windows will detect the driver and Click Next to continue installation.

8. Click Finish to continue and let Windows copy the needed files to your hard disk.

4. Changes COM Port

Under Windows 98SE , you can change the COM Port via setcom.exe sofeware

7. Under Windows Me 、 Windows 2000 、 Windows XP, please kindly following the steps as below. ：

(1) Please click on the Device Manager\ Devices by connection \ ports (COM & LPT). ( images 1)

(2) Doubly click on “Prolific USB-to- serial Comm port(COM3)” .And it could go to „ properties'. (images

(3) Please choose "Port Settings ", and then click on "Advanced". Please kindly choose the needed com, and click on" ok”. (images 3)

Notice:

If the Modem could not link with the new port, and run smoothly when changed the port, please kindly unload Modem, and re-install it. When Changing the port, the peripheral equipment could not shift to the new port, and run smoothly. Under this situation, please kindly unload the equipment and install again.

5. Setting Up the RS232 Serial Device Follow the steps below to connect your RS232 Serial Device (ie: Modem) to the USB port of your PC: 1. Turn off your Modem. Plug the DB 9 connector of the USB-Serial cable into your Modem. Turn on the

Modem afterwards. 2. Turn on your computer and plug in the USB connector of the USB-Serial cable into the USB port. 3. If you have already installed a Modem device before, click Start, Settings, Modems. Open Modems

Properties, select the Modem, click Properties. In General tab, please change the Port value to USB to Serial Port (COM3).

4. After finishing these processes, you can use USB to Serial Bridge Cable to connect RS232 Serial 56K FAX Modem and execute the Dial-up fuction to connect Internet, and send the FAX with the FAX software(ie: Microsoft FAX) properly.

6. Uninstalling the Driver Program If you want to remove the USB-Serial cable driver program, you can uninstall it by following the steps below: 1. Unplug the USB-Serial cable from your PC. 2. Run the DRemover98_2K.exe program from the software CD-ROM, then reboot the PC.

2.2.2 Manual Setup - After Auto setup, if the Program doesn‟t operate, you should install it manually.

Copy all files of DLL folder into “C:\WINDOWS\system32”

2.2.2 The error coming before the program start - When installing the program, the error might be occurred according to installation specification of PC System 2.2.2.1 Class Not Registered After press the button of Start and Execution on the operating display line of Windows in turns, input the following order

It is ok In the case that “Regsvr32.exe” file is not on the PC, please copy “regsv32a.exe” of “Util” Folder on the provided Program into “C:\Windows\system32\” and run it

3.1.2 Set up part : If it is possible, don’t be changed into Factory set mode in the field voluntarily

- Set up all of two Tube In the case of R/F System - When converting Tube, choose Tube1/2 by using Tube select

3.2.2 Port check

- Port check 를 선택하면 현재 연결되어 있는 Port 와 Generator 간 자동으로 연결됩니다.

- COM6 번부터는 연결이 잘되지 않을 수 있으니 manual Page8 을 참고하여 Com port 를

3.2.3 Power ON - If you choose Power ON, the figure of red area is going up and it will be Power on

4.2 Calibration Window configuration

4.2.1 Data input window - After inputting kV and mA data, Data would be changed with inputting “Enter” 4.2.2 Level shift - Use it when you increase and decrease overall kV and mA Data

4.2.3. Data Display - Data value that is currently checked is displayed 4.2.4. Feedback display

- The kV mA value checked really is displayed 됩니다.

- Only HV is operated, BC is not

4.2.5 Calibration scope

- If you check Calibration Point, in the case of mA, the scope of more than “100” is displayed all to “100”. Only first “100” is the area of Calibration and the following area is unnecessary.

- As kV is same, only the first “125” is the area Calibration and the following area is unnecessary

- Only the area of red is Calibration as below

4.3 Calibration start 4.3.1 Data change

- If you choose the wanted condition of Calibration, color of window is changed and data is input into “ADJ”

- Data change : change 740750 of ADJ HV to change Data

- Data input : after inputting the data, if you choose Enter, the changed data would be saved

- Screen after change 4.3.2 Focal chage If you choose , it would be able to chang into Small Large or vice versa (it changes every time you pressed button)
