CALL FOR PARTNERS

TITLE: “Life Away”

Dear Friends,

"Apkabink Europa" intends to apply with an exchange project in Erasmus+, Key Action 1,

Youth Exchange, with a background theme on migration.

Through this call we invite all association interested in the project proposal to become

our partner.

DETAILS OF THE PROJECT:

Venue: Countryside tourism homestead “Kotrynos Sala” http://www.kotrynossala.lt/ Alytus region, Lithuania

Period: 06-13 October 2014

Partners: EU Countries + Partner countries neighboring the EU.

Working Language: English

Conditions: each partner must send 7 participants + team leader aged from 18 to 30.

Duration of the activity: 7 days; including travel

All participants will be provided with accomodation and food for the whole

duration of the exchange, as well as with covering of visa costs (if visa is

required). T ravel costs will be covered using following rules of Erasmus plus

program distance calculator:

For travel distances between 10 and 99KM: 20 EUR per participant

For travel distances between 100 and 499 KM: 80 EUR per participant

For travel distances between 500 and 1999 KM: 170 EUR per participant

For travel distances between 2000 and 2999 KM: 270 EUR per participant

For travel distances between 3000 and 3999 KM: 400 EUR per participant

For travel distances between 4000 and 7999 KM: 620 EUR per participant

For travel distances of 8000 KM or more: 830 EUR per participant

DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

The youth exchange “Life away” aims to bring together young people from different

countries and give them the opportunity to perform various hands-on group activities related

to the theme of migration.

Through different activities (simulations, role play, presentations), participants will

exchange good practice and know-how their possible solution, emphasizing on migration.

The exchange will follow the following objects:

• To focus on the consequences of migration and reflecting on the practice of migrantintegration and inclusion in European countries;

• To share best practice in tackling migration, integration and inclusion in youth work;

• Exchange of experience and good practice in youth work, related to international/localmigration and mobility and its influence on young people in Europe;

• Preparing youth workers and youth leaders in addressing the challenges andopportunities resulting from migration for young people /society as a whole;

• Raising the competence of youth workers and youth leaders about the push and pullfactors of migration and causes and consequences of migration and how to preventnegative effects of migration (such as discrimination) in society;

• Promoting European cooperation between youth organizations, promoting youthmobility and support engagement youth with immigrant backgrounds in participating Organizations’ activities;

• Providing informal learning opportunities with a European dimension and creatinginnovative opportunities in connection with active citizenship, especially for the youngpeople with fewer opportunities through the development of new initiatives in the fieldof migration and mobility for young people within the framework of the Youth inAction Programme.

The Deadline for approving partnership by sending your PIC is 25th of May.
