Thermal Energy Storage

•  Thermal storage systems remove heat from or add heat to a storage medium for use at another time – like the hot water heater in a home.

•  For ice or water based commercial systems, this means using a chiller to produce ice or chilled water when electric rates are lower or the utility needs load and using the ice for cooling during the peak periods.
