JOHN COMMON

John Common says he dreams about being a filmmaker or a painter, but we’re lucky he ended up with an obsession for making music instead. His voice and his songs can pin you to the wall, break your heart, or send you off thinking for a while.

John is a notoriously prolific songwriter -- because if he didn't write songs all the time, they'd clog his mind and his heart, create a log jam of sorts, and then he'd get stuck at stop lights and in coffee shop lines, mumbling incoherently to himself.

John makes records—because as fun as the architecture of songwriting can be, it closes a kind of karmic loop to actually build the house too.

John plays shows with his band—because, on a good night, he leaves his body down there on stage and just floats around with everyone else in the air. And that makes all of the loading of gear and winding of strings worth it.

Dualistics is an alternative rock band from Denver, CO. Originally started as CU Denver recording project between Jimmy Stofer and former drummer Scott Russell, the band called upon some of Denver's top musicians to fill the roster. Now consisting of Tyler Despres, Charley Hine, Nate Barnes, and Jimmy Stofer, the members also fill in with notable local heroes Rose Hill Drive, Hello Kavita, Science Partner, Jen Korte, Bop Skizzum and more.

Over the past few years, Dualistics has been on the rise in the Denver scene, playing for huge crowds at Red Rocks, Gothic Theater, Bluebird Theater, Hi-Dive, Larimer Lounge and more. The band has shared the stage with notable acts Mike Watt, The Fray, Menomena, Flobots, Margot and the Nuclear So and So's, Polyphonic Spree, Tokyo Police Club, Marc Ford, From Monument to Masses, and most recently the Austin-based White Denim.

Since forming in 2007, Glass Delirium has explored the depths of what it means to create. They are a progressive, hard rock band composed of dual male and female lead vocals, guitar and keyboards sharing the rhythm and lead, a solid and driving rhythm section, and the use of live instruments such as violin, fx pads, and other eclectic instruments. The intensity and emotion from this combination is delivered efficiently through their music by taking influences from rock, classical, jazz, pop, electronic, orchestral, metal, and movie scores. The instant buzz surrounding their infectious sound propelled the group on several self-booked tours across the west, bringing their energetic live show to as many as possible.

Air Dubai is a seven man hip hop group founded by Julian Thomas and Rhias (Jon Shockness) from Denver, CO.

Air Dubai has performed in countless venues around the Denver Metro Area including The Marquis Theater, The Walnut Room, The Gothic Theatre and more. They have also had the opportunity to open for big name acts such as Guru (from Gangstarr), The Pirate Signal, Denver's own The Flobots and performed on the Denver Leg of the 2009 Vans Warped Tour.

Considering the amount of time Air Dubai has been active they have gained an immense amount of local attention both from fans and popular media sources as well. Air Dubai's plans are to continue releasing music that is meaningful and fun, as well as expressive, thought provoking and timeless.

The Hollyfelds take classic country, rock, and pop, put it in a pot, add a touch of folk and bluegrass, and baby, they got a stew going.
