INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

The following instructions were meant to assist you during the installation of our door panels. Please keep in mind that as vehicles get older there are

unforeseen circumstances that may cause you to have to alter these steps to make the panels work with your application. While we are more than happy

to answer any questions you may have concerning this installation, we do recommend that you have the panels installed by a PROFESSIONAL interior

shop. Just to be clear, we define the word PROFESSIONAL as someone who is properly qualified and experienced in upholstery.

Step 1 – Rear Panels

It is necessary to install the rear panels first. After

removing the old panels and door seals, set the new

panel in place and slide towards the rear of the car

for a snug fit.

Step 2 – Trim to Fit

With the rear panels in place, mark and trim any

areas that do not line up with the body.

Step 4 – Fasten Panel

Using a drill and the screws provided, carefully pre-

drill mounting holes in panels then attach them to the

vehicle. <These screws will hold the panel in place

over the next few steps.>

Step 5 – Rear Trim

Be sure to secure the rear trim strip before moving on.

Step 6 – Front Panels

Place supplied metal trim panel up to door

and even with inside edge. Pre-drill all holes

first before mounting this panel to the door.

Note: This metal panel was designed to fill the void

between the door panel and the door once material

has been applied. You will need to cover this piece with matching material later in the install. See step ___ for image.

Step 7 – Door Handle Cut Out (optional step if Fesler door handles

were purchased with panels)

Because Fesler door panels can be used with a variety of

interior door handles, we do not pre-cut out the door handle

location. You will need to cut out the door handle area, making

sure to leave a slight edge for door handle to sit against. Be

sure to file the hole before continuing to remove any sharp

edges. This is a good time to cut out the speaker hole if you

are electing to use it during your installation.

Step 8 – Line „em up

Set the front panel on the door by “hanging” it over

the top of the door. Get into car and shut the door.

Using the supplied ½” wood spacers, align the front

panel to match evenly with the already installed rear

panel. Once aligned, tape the front panel in place to

keep it from moving.

NOTE: WHILE MINOR, SOME FIBERGLASS TRIMMING MAY BE NECESSARY FOR A PERFECT FIT.

Step 9 - Secure

With both the front and rear panels aligned to

each other, pre-drill panels before securely

mounting to door using supplied hardware.

We recommend that you mount at the two

outer most locations first before securing the

panel at the bottom, below the speaker

location.

Step 10 – Door Handle Installation (optional step if Fesler

door handles were purchased with panels. If you did not purchase

Fesler door handles, skip to step 19)

With the front door panel mounted securely in place,

hold door handle in place while marking the mounting

hole onto the actual metal door using a pick tool.

Step 11 – Marking the Door Handle Bracket (optional step if Fesler

door handles were purchased with panels)

Remove door panels. Using the previously marked location as a

guide, line up the center hole of the provided bracket with the

newly marked location. Be sure to place the flat side of the

bracket against the door. Using self tapping screws (not

provided), screw the bracket into the door. Start with the center

location then attach the outer two locations of the bracket in the same manner.

Note: You can turn the bracket any which way to make space to attach the outer two screws, however, make sure the

center mounting location is exactly on your marked point or door handles will not work properly. This step is simply for

marking purposes so if you feel comfortable using a pick tool to mark the screw locations you can do that too.

Step 12 – Drilling the Door Handle Bracket (optional

step if Fesler door handles were purchased with panels)

Remove bracket from door. Using a 1” hole saw, drill

out the hole marked in the center location. This is

where the bracket will come through the door from

behind. Use a ¼” drill bit to drill out the two outside

mounting locations.

Step 13 – Mounting the Door Handle Bracket (optional

step if Fesler door handles were purchased with panels)

With all the holes drilled, install the rectangular

bracket from the inside of the door with the protruding

circular portion coming back through the hole. Using

the provided 10-24 x ¾” hardware, attach the bracket

to the door using the two outer holes.

Step 14 – Door Handle Linkage (optional step if Fesler door

handles were purchased with panel, however some sort of linkage will

need to be made regardless of door handle used.)

Each kit includes two pieces of stainless steel rod. This is

the linkage used to operate the door handle. ROD IS PRE

CUT AND PRE BENT TO CORRECT LENGTH AND

SHAPE FOR FESLER DOOR HANDLES.

Install the shorter straight end of the rod to the door using the

retainer clip. The clip is located on the inside of the door. The

bent portion of the rod should be facing towards the bottom of

the door. With one end of the rod secure, attach the other end of

the rod to the back side of the door handle. Loosely re-attach

the door handle to the door and test the linkage operation.

Step 15 – Anti-Rattle Isolator (optional step if Fesler door

handles were purchased with panel, however some sort of linkage will

need to be made regardless of door handle used.)

Install the anti-rattle isolator onto the door linkage and

mount it to the door using a self tapping metal screw (not

included).

Step 16 – Re-Hang Panel

Remove door handle from door and linkage. Re-hang the door

panel. The mounted door handle bracket should be visible

through the door handle hole.

Step 17 – Installing the Door Handle

Using a pair of needle nose pliers, grab the door linkage

behind the door panel and install onto door handle.

Page 6: Camaro Door Panels

Step 18 – Door Linkage Retainer Clip

With the linkage attached to the door handle, tilt door handle up to

expose attachment and install the linkage retainer clip to secure

linkage to handle.

Step 19 – Final mounting

With the linkage attached, securely mount door panel to door before

tightening handle to panel.

Step 20 – Door Panel Inserts

Each set of door panels comes standard with a

pair of wooden inserts for the center portion of

the panel. These can be used in a variety of

ways; either wrapping in material, to use as a

mold for a fiberglass piece or painted. Test fit

inserts by holding up to panel. Some sanding may be necessary on the backside and/or edges of the

panel for a perfect fit. We recommend taping both the front and rear inserts to the door, closing the

door and inspecting the look for continuity.

Note: When you final install these pieces after you have finished covering your panels, you can do so

with glue, Velcro or pressure fit. We recommend some sort of secure fastened process to avoid the

panels “popping” off during travel.

The Final Fit

The final look and fit should be a

streamlined flow. Once the bare panels are

lined up and look well together, you can

now remove and cover to your liking.
