CAMDEN ACADEMY CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL RECEIVES BRONZE AWARD

(Camden, NJ) - Camdens Charter School Network is pleased to announce that Camden

Academy Charter High School was recently awarded a bronze medal as part of the U.S. News & World Reports 2014 Best High School Rankings. Academy received the award based on standardized test scores and student preparation for post-secondary education.

According U.S. News and World Reports website, more than 19,400 high schools are ranked both nationally and by state. In addition, schools can be awarded a gold, silver or bronze medal based on their ability to meet U.S. News & World Reports three-part criteria for scholastic achievement. In order to meet the criteria for the bronze award, Academy was recognized for its students performing statistically better than expected for the average student within the state, with considerations for the percentage of economically disadvantage students, and for its least-advantage students performing better than similar students in the state.

This is the second medal awarded to Academy after previously receiving the U.S. News & World Report 2010 Best High School Rankings bronze medal. In total, 32 New Jersey high schools received bronze medals for 2014.
