3Now it’s time to apply your first layer of stencils. The stencils you will be using are basi-cally decals designed to mask off areas for painting. You have one sheet of “spot” sten-cils and one sheet of “area” stencils. Begin peeling off individual spots and apply them to your objects. If you have a difficult time peeling stencils from the sheet use tweezers. Take advantage of our stencils ability to bend and conform to curves and corners by wrapping them around edges. In the Multicam pattern the light tan spots are grouped together in a line. Press down each stencil with force to ensure no paint can spray around the edges.

STEP

4Hang up the objects on wire again and spray your object for a second layer of color. Spray paint Color Swatch 1 (dark brown) completely covering the object in a solid brown color.

STEP

5Apply a second layer of stencils. You will be able to see the first layer of stencils. Often the groups of tan and brown spots are collected together. You will be able to faintly see the first layer of stencils. Place groups of spot stencils on top of the tan stencils and also put some in blank areas. Don’t apply identical stencils on top of or near each other. There is also more dark brown spots than light brown.

It’s time to paint your first “areas” layer. Hang up the objects on wire for painting. You will spray paint the brown areas first. Paint a layer of color swatch 5 fully covering the objects.

Now spray color swatch 6 in large irregular spots that fade into the other color. These spots should cover 50% of the gun. Leaving you with a gun that is 50% color swatch 5 and 50% color swatch 6.

Apply the “area stencils” to the objects. Cover 50% of the objects in the stencils.

Hang up the objects with wire for painting. Spray paint the objects with swatch 4 fully covering the objects in a solid color.

Now spray color swatch 4 in large irregular spots that fade into the other color. These spots should cover 50% of the gun. Leaving you with a gun that is 50% color swatch 3 and 50% color swatch 4.

Allow the objects to dry to handling. It’s time to peel off your stencils and reveal your fin-ished paint job! Lightly sand the objects with 320-400 grit sand paper - this makes it easi-er to peel off the stencils. If you are having a hard time removing stencils use tweezers to get the edge up. Lightly sand again to smooth the edges of the paint. Use matte clear coat on your finished gun and your mission is complete!
