WHAT TO BRING
Art supplies are provided for all summer art camps. Please pack a lunch,
water bottle and two snacks for your child. Dress your child for mess and
have them bring a hat and sunscreen as we will be spending time outdoors.
REGISTRATION POLICY
To cancel a registration and receive a refund, notify us at least 10 days
before the start of your workshop, we will refund your payment less a $50
cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within
10 days of the start of the workshop.
WAIVER/PHOTO RELEASE
Parents will complete a waiver/photo release on the first day of class. To
print this out and complete ahead of time, please go to theartbase.com/ed-
ucation/summer art camps. Your child’s photo or video may be used by the
Art Base, unless you otherwise specify on the waiver/release form.
MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNTS
Annual memberships to the Art Base start at $50. In addition to
discounts on all workshops for you and your family, you will receive
invitations to all opening receptions and art talks. Memberships expire
one year from date of purchase.
SUMMER INTERNSHIPS
Summer internships are offered to students entering eighth grade
through college who are interested and committed to learning and
working in the visual arts. Applications are available online and please
email [email protected] with questions.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarship applications are available in both English and Spanish on our
website, please email [email protected] to apply.

A collaboration with Theatre Aspen
Envision your own faraway lands, then use your artistic skills to bring them to life
with puppets, theatrical backdrops, and more! This session culminates in a showcase
where students will share their unique creations and perform the classic song,
“Somewhere Over the Rainbow”.

THE STORY OF THE FOREST *

The forests affected by the 2018 Lake Christine Fire have many stories to tell. Focus
on the ecological regeneration of the ecosystems that were burned. Participants
will spend time walking around the burn zones, collecting footage and communicate
these stories through a digital story.

FANTASTIC FASHION: ENCHANTED FOREST

Explore fashion ideation and design. Spend your day repurposing, embellishing,
decorating, and modeling your own wearable art! Study color, shape, line, and

fabulous five-day fashion class. Theme: Enchanted Forest.

Create clay sea monsters, construct mixed media fish nets, make sand candles, tie

Learn about composition, contrast, and lighting while examining the power of
photography—be the director, artist and editor and create a photo book to take
home. Students must bring their own technology that has a working camera and
should be familiar with their own device in order to feel successful.

Make new farmyard friends and learn about the different habits and behaviors of
the RBR animals and wildlife. In the afternoon, practice painting and drawing your
