CAMP INFORMATION & PROCEDURES Intermediate LEGO WeDo Robotics Camp Dear Parents, We are so excited to have your child join us again in our Intermediate LEGO WeDo Robotics Camp! Below is some general information about our robotics camps, procedures, etc. All of our Summer Camps are centrally located in Rochester at Allendale Columbia School, 519 Allens Creek Road (off Monroe Avenue Exit, Rte 590). Paperwork: Please be sure you have filled out and scanned/emailed or snail-mailed the following forms at least 2 weeks prior to start of camp: Learning Styles Inventory Authorization and Release Form (filled out, signed, and dated!) General Information: While there is a drinking fountain available, campers are more than welcome to bring water bottles as long as they are labeled. Camper Drop-Off & Pick-up Procedures: Starting the 2nd day of camp, you will be dropping off and picking up your camper(s) at Allendale Columbia School in the driving loop to the right after turning into the school entrance: Since we have a large number of campers in our very popular WeDo Robotics Camps, we encourage parents to drop off their camper(s) 10 to 15 minutes prior to the start of camp (we like to start promptly). With the exception of AC Session #2: July 3 rd – July 7 th , pick-up will be at noon (unless your child is enrolled in the lunch program and an afternoon camp session). Again, you will use the driving loop for pick-up and drop-off. 1 st Day of Camp Procedures: On the very first day of camp, we would appreciate having your camper arrive 15 minutes early. After turning into the school entrance, you will veer LEFT to park in the Back Parking Lot – ONLY FOR THE 1 ST DAY OF CAMP. Please allow an extra 5-10 minutes for parking and walking. (Refer to Alternative Pick-Up Procedure photos, below, for visuals). We will check your camper in and provide you with a large name card we will ask you to place on your passenger side window area (carpooling families will obviously be provided more than one name card). The cards will have first names only and, when you come to pick up your camper(s), we will be able to see right away which campers to call out to be picked up using our walkie-talkie systems! Also, we will be able to see right away which campers are being dropped off each morning. This has proven to be a very safe and efficient system that our many camper parents have really appreciated. PHOTOS on following page for Alternative Pick-Up Procedure for those parents who would like to come the last 15 minutes – any day – to see their camper’s exciting learning experiences.
