What to ExpectAdventure Florida: Adventure Florida ELL Camp at the Sagemont School is a “hands-on” interactive personalized learning experience for international students. The four-week camp is designed not only to teach rigorous academic language knowledge and skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing), but it imbeds these skills in relevant local activities that brings the learning alive in a meaningful way for each student. The culminating week provides students with a practical “head-start” in understanding and navigating the US college admissions process.

Art Camp: Art camp is great for campers with an artistic/creative flair or those who just want to have fun learning how to create different styles of art. Art camp includes a variety of art mediums such as painting, drawing, ceramics, clay sculpture, jewelry-making, tie-dye and more!

Drama Camp: Does your child dream of standing in the spotlight on opening night, of hearing the applause of an audience on Broadway? Well, now’s the chance to find out! Drama Camp offers an exciting program with comprehensive musical theatre training that promises to be engaging, challenging and inspiring with a live performance at the end!

Rising Stars: The Rising Star Program is a new and innovative educational summer enhancement program offered to campers entering grades K-12. Campers receive between 10-12 hours (5 hours of math and 6-7 hours of language arts) of additional support and learning through by a certified teacher using collaboration, weekly themed and standards based technology driven that will allow them to develop, strengthen and produce evidence of learning based on their educational needs.

Robotics: Robotics camp is a new program that allows campers to be their own creator! This program focuses on designing, building, programming and testing robots through coding and build careers in the field of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).

Sports Camp: Campers will participate in this special program that includes skill building, exposure to new activities and lifetime recreation skills. Sports specialists will help each camper improve, practice and play each sport.

Zoology Camp: Does your little one just love animals? Campers will learn the science of animal care and conservation across various environments the globe. Through the use technology research and discovery, campers will become animal care specialists.

Special FeaturesCampers will go on related field trips to enhance the specific camp curriculum. Campers will also participate in camp-wide activities such as daily swimming,

visits to the video arcade, special presentations, weekly Friday spirit

assemblies and Color War!

ACTIVITY BLOCKS

Camp ChatOur daily pep rally is a time for campers to gather for songs, chants and challenges that promote collaboration and

creativity.

On Stage & Behind the LensLights! Camera! Action! Welcome

to our photo booth, film studio and theater. Campers will write, create,

act, video, photograph and everything in-between.

Game StationWe’ll keep campers moving and

thinking as they play sports, games and participate in timed

challenges on their own and with friends.

Food BossWhether campers dream up their own food truck kitchen, decorate like a cake boss or simply make a yummy summer treat – the food

possibilities will be endless.

Cartoon NationCampers will explore the exciting

world of cartoons and comics. They’ll

learn about the history of some of their favorites, while also creating

and illustrating their own.

Build it BetterWe’re counting on our campers to not only build it, but to build

it better than before using Legos, K’nex, blocks and other

recycled materials.

When S.T.E.A.M CollideBy participating in exciting

S.T.E.A.M. activities, campers will ask questions, design, build, create and maybe spark an idea

that will someday change the world.

Crack the CodeChildren will join forces to solve mysteries, complete puzzles and build with limited resources. The

suspense will be thrilling!

Kids Helping KidsOur campers will pay it forward

as they help kids in need by planning a community service

event from brainstorm to implementation.

Art 360Art is more than just painting and drawing. We’ll provide campers

with different mediums and projects to keep the inspiration

going all summer long.

Dance CrazeDon’t just stand there… bust a

move! This summer, we’ll cover dance trends throughout the

decades, as well as make up a few new trends of our own.

TrailblazersCampers will have so much fun

participating in leadership activities that they won’t even realize they’re sharpening their communication, confidence and

collaboration skills.

Sprinkled throughout each week, Activity Blocks give campers fun and variety in their camp day.

High School Art Institute: Our summer art institute is for students entering 9th through 12th grade, who are

interested in exploring artist techniques beyond what is taught in the traditional classroom. Artists will gain skills and expertise in drawing, mixed media painting, digital media, printmaking, and book arts. Students will be introduced to the work of prominent fine and commercial artists who have made South Florida their home. We also will visit local art events and museums, and will reflect with family and friends in a closing gallery exhibit at the end of our program.

– Rate: $350 a week (must sign up for all 4 weeks) + $95 supply fee -- Dates: July 8 –Aug. 2

Do you have questions about the application process?” Come join us on a week-long college preparation camp as well help you circumvent resume and essay writing, college counselor sessions, and road trips to visit some of our local colleges to see what it is all about! Day trips will include campus tours to colleges in South Florida. Our week will be jammed packed with useful information on these topics and more in just 5 days! So pack your bags and get ready for some fun!

– Rate: $350 for the week -- Dates: Aug 5-Aug 9 -- Ages: entering 9th grade and up
