Campbell is an executive level architect whose working experiences lie within three principal areas:

- Large, high quality, mixed-use design and build projects: Campbell was local project manager from 2006-2009 under Adamson Associates, Toronto and Jacobs, Milan for the Hines, Porta Nuova Milano, Garibaldi Repubblica and Varesina Projects. Beginning with the feasibility study for the Unicredit Headquarters she led the multi international design teams through the maze of Italian building codes and by laws, coordinating and controlling the project drawings up through the executive phases for tender. Full responsibility was assumed for building permit procedures working side by side with numerous public officials and administrative offices, cooordinating protocol for 3 Preliminary Approvals and 19 Building Permits in a three-year span. The development covers a total of 340,000 m² including 57,000 m² office space, 11,000 m² retail space, 160,000 m² pedestrian spaces, 20,000 m² cultural space, 370 luxury apartments and parking for 4000 cars for the most part underground.

- Academia: Urban Renewal and Public Space Design: Campbell is adjunct Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Urban Planning Department for the past 22 years. Her teachings concentrate on analytical-interpretative exercises evaluating a specific urban area’s performance and territorial sustainability capacity. Students are lead through the urban design process formulating proposals for large urban wastelands such as Scalo Farini Rail Yard, Caserma Montello military precinct, and the Parco Trotter district in Milan, the ex-Falck area in Sesto San Giovanni, and the ex Cemsa-Isotta Fraschini area in Saronno, many of which have been award candidates and selected for various publications. She has a record of accomplishment for high quality teaching methods and evaluated Top Professor out of 53 design studio courses for the academic years 2013/14 and 2014/15. Campbell’s urban design strategy approach is illustrated in her book “City Transformation: Caserma Montello Milano”

- Architecture and Urban Design: Campbell’s clientele comes from both the public and private sector. Following projects through all design, management, and constructions phases, her works include more than 40 residential and commercial renovations such as the flagship spaces for Patagonia, and Musto clothing companies and the conservative restoration of a historical rural complex in a natural wildlife preserve. For Tennis Club Milano Alberto Bonacossa, as a direct result of an in depth analysis, Campbell provided a reference scenario for the Club’s future development with the identification and hierarchical classification of critical issues and potentials.

In collaboration with local architectural firms, commissions of diversified nature also make up her portfolio: the realization of a new silk manufacturing compound with annexed offices, 11 public buildings including the Milan MM Line 3 Station, 9 urban design-sport facilities and recently a 50 unit residential complex with retail spaces on ground floor.
