Concerts and Twilight Family Fun Night

The weather smiled upon us providing a perfect back drop to two concerts in

conjunction with a family fun evening. Our students performed with enthusiasm,

in spite of some understandable end of year tiredness. Whether singing,

dancing or both they captivated the large audience on the field with their talent

and energy. Of course, end of year concerts are never complete without the

staff dance item and, once again, this was well received. What next for 2016?!

Thank you to all parents who assisted in some way with the activities. Your help

was greatly valued. Further photos of the concerts can be viewed by going to

‘Events’ on the school’s website – after the weekend.

2016

Yes, I know, it is far too soon to be talking about the 2016 school year when the

2015 school year has only just ended! However, it probably makes sense to

share a reminder with you regarding adherence to the school uniform. As

happens when people get a bit tired near the end of the year, in the latter part of

this term there was some noticeable slippage regarding the wearing of the

appropriate school uniform. This was particularly evident when it came to

adherence re footwear. When you are purchasing school footwear over the

holidays please be aware the requirement of the school’s uniform requirements

for footwear (either shoes or sandals), namely either all black or all navy blue. In

order to ensure the school uniform is being worn correctly there will be regular

inspections starting at the beginning of the school year. If there is a medical

reason your child cannot wear footwear that complies with the school’s

requirements please write a note outlining the reason.

In the first half of January we will be sending out reminders regarding the

purchase of stationery for the school year as well as reminders of school office

hours in the latter part of the holidays.

As announced at the end of the concerts on Monday evening, the school has

secured the rights to perform The Lion King Jr as the year five and six musical

production in 2016. While exact performance dates have yet to be confirmed,

the show will run over four evenings in August.
