This manual is a guide for creating a publication on immigration and camping. It aims to be a platform for content, graphic form as well as publication. The first pages will explain the concept and the relation-ship of immigration and camping. The later pages will go in to more specific areas of the publication.

Life can be seen as a long journey where our time in the world starts in one point and ends in another. We spend our time making detours, visiting different parts of our existence. The journey does not have a clear beginning or end, things are set in motion long before life begins and continues long after the physical presence is gone. It is just like a trip. The planning and dreaming are an essential part, and the stories and photos after the trip keeps it alive long after it ends.

Camping as we know it, in todays society is not a necessary, it is a lux-ury. Its basic needs are the same as traveling, and are not based on the more primal needs of living. We camp for values such as friendship, companionship and the nature experience.

CAMPING IS A LUXURY

IMMIGRATION IS THE INTRODUC-TION OF NEW PEOPLE INTO A HABITAT OR P O P U L A T I O N .

Immigration is adding a small piece to a bigger picture. Conceptually it is to permanently move something from one environment to another and is not limited to people. It can be viewed in many different ways, from a primal need to a luxury based on accomplishment. Immigration can also be viewed either in a positive or a negative way depending on the context it is applied to. It is to be considered different from migra-tion, which is based on different basic needs and is not really applied on todays human society.

Camping and immigration is part of the same phenomena. This is even more evident in “Life is a journey” perspective. They have the same goal but different purposes, two sides of the same coin; one is to find a new home, the other is to get away from it. In a way, they are set op-posite each other on the same line; there reasons for action are on the different ends of the spectrum - one based in basic need, the other in a luxurious need.

THE PHENOMENA

The content is based on the relationship of camping and immigration as well as highlighting the concept itself. All articles aim to examine one aspect of these phenomenas in the perspective of human nature, trying to find the root cause. They are to open doors to understand the driving forces behind camping and immigration. The content may be immigrated from one text in to another to examine their relationship, or to understand their changing meaning in a new context. One text may camp next to another to show their relationship in a strict struc-ture; as with camping you can rent a pitch for a specific purpose. Most of the articles should follow a narrative structure to help the reader understand the content. Each issue should begin with an editorial ex-plaining the nature of the publication.

CONTENT

There are a few things the publication is restricted from exploring. The most fundamental of this are the examination of culture and ethnic groups in relationship to camping and immigration. Its aim should be to explore the concepts of these phenomenas and not their corporeal form. This applies to text, images and graphic form. The publication should not have a negative view of the culture it explores and avoid diminishing them.

NON-CONTENT

The publication will be a blend of two or more graphical styles/profiles. There will be a main style, the backbone of the structure, and one or more sub-forms that will be immigrated to form the end result. One of the sub-forms will be SCRs graphic form for camping.

IMMIGRATING FORM

The publication is to be published by immigrating it in another con-text. It may be another publication, or a new habitat or medium.
