2 FEP Program Announcement Version 7.0 - 2018

Overview

The Campus Connect Program aims at evolving

a model through which Infosys and engineering

institutions can partner for competitiveness to

enhance pool of highly capable talent for growth

requirements in the Information Technology (IT)

space. It is aimed at creating an effective means

of backward integration into the supply chain by

going into the college campuses from where the

IT industry gets the human resource for its

growth. The nation-wide program focuses on

preparing “industry-ready IT professionals” by

aligning and enhancing the engineering student

competencies with the needs of the industry.

Campus Connect is sharing with the academia

its technology training methods, courseware,

case studies, student project samples and other

such learning resources that have been

developed, practiced and perfected over the past

20 years.

At a Glance

the requirements of partner colleges

attached to local Infosys DC

6. Participants will receive Infosys Training kit

7. Suggested number of participants per

partnering college is typically two

8. Pre-work for the workshop as applicable will

be shared with the participants

Faculty Enablement Program

Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) brings

together several partnering engineering college

faculty members under one roof to discuss the

coverage of the given course and plan actions

for roll-out of the same in respective colleges.

The expected outcome of the workshop is a well-

defined roll-out plan and faculty exposure to

Infosys experiences.

1. FEP provides an opportunity to the

engineering college faculty members to get

exposed to industry best practices in learning

2. FEP is the forum where Infosys educators

and practitioners share their expertise and

experience.

3. FEP provides insight into industry

expectations from entry level engineering

graduates

The Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) is one

of the important offerings in Campus Connect

Program.

Rationale for Program

Infosys has been imparting training to entry level

engineers to make them industry ready and meet

the customer project demands.

The rationale for FEP is to:

1. Enrich the knowledge of faculty with

technology application examples and

experiences, usage of latest tools, case

studies, generation of new case studies,

project execution to enhance courseware

delivery effectiveness and providing them

some practitioner sessions

2. Familiarize partnering college faculty with the

best-in-class facilitation and assessment

methods to enhance student learning

effectiveness

3. Share our IP and thus develop large pool of

faculty across the nation to deliver FP course

in the same style and depth as Infosys

FEP Objective

It is to share Infosys education experience by

bringing together several partnering engineering

college faculty members under one roof to

discuss the coverage of the given course, learn

from the team experiences and plan actions for

rolling-out the same in respective colleges.

Enable partnering colleges in rolling out the

given course in a deep dive manner, i.e. the

faculty should really be able to strengthen,

scale up and use the case studies, develop

new real-time case studies, projects, tools

information shared during the program,

leading to higher performance of the

students.

The expected outcome of the FEP is a well-

defined roll-out plan for the participating

partner college and faculty exposure to

Infosys way of professional training.

Enrich the profound knowledge of faculty

with technology & application examples, by

targeting a set of courses to augment their

skill and knowledge for better courseware

delivery effectiveness and exposure.

Familiarize partnering college faculty with

best in-class facilitation and assessment

methods to enhance student learning

effectiveness

Share our IP and thus develop large pool of

faculty across the nation to deliver courses

comprehensively.

To enhance the capabilities of the

participating faculty through technical inputs.

Introduce to the participants some of the

latest technologies, industry best practices

and methodologies.

Gain insight by interaction with subject

matter experts.

Pursue Applied Research/ guidance of

student project

Deep Dive Approach

Tools Exposure: In line with our objective to

strengthen the Industry insights to colleges, this

section provides an exposure to the faculty

regarding the need and importance of tools in

industry environment and the ability of tools to

handle complexity.

Information on relevant open source/freeware

tools is shared, which can be useful to the

students for the development of projects.

Case Studies: Provides a practical scenario as

a problem statement to develop an acquaintance

of the industry perspective of a typical module.

Faculty members will be encouraged to develop

new real time case studies.

Practitioner Sessions: Discuss and

demonstrate a real time scenario from projects,

challenges faced and solutions adopted.

Assignments/Hands-on: Assignments and

hands-on to reinforce the concepts discussed.
