Canada Command

Canada Command is responsible for the

conduct of all domestic operations – both

routine and contingency – and is the national operational

authority for the defence of Canada and, in concert with

US NORTHCOM, the defence of North America.

Primary Focus Areas 2011 / 2012

1) Canada First! Safeguarding the Nation. Support Canadians and OGDs within 24 hours – leaning forward, being aggressive:

“The Home Game is a No Fail Mission”

2) Bring together activities in Canada’s North, in an integrated and unified manner, for the Department and the CF.

3) Enhance partnerships with the United States. Broaden and deepen the Tri-Command relationship with NORAD – NORTHCOM.
