Road to the Workplace trips provide opportunities to network with Marist College alumni and other professionals who work at a variety of companies. You can get a sense of an organization’s culture and learn about available professional development opportunities. The trips are open to students in all majors. Schedule an appointment with a career coach using FoxQuest for help with these areas of professional development: Cover Letter and Resume Assistance Interview Preparation Employer and Alumni Connections Major to Career Guidance Fellowship and Graduate School Advisement Setting up a LinkedIn profile Internship Opportunities Scholarships and Fellowships Follow the Marist College Center for Career Services on social media for information about upcoming events and initiatives for Marist students.

Center for Career Services Online Resources The following online resources are available for free 24/7 to all Marist students. We encourage you to schedule an appointment with a career coach to learn more about the following online resources. Please make sure to register for Focus 2 and InterviewStream accounts using your Marist.edu email address. *Students must log in to their FoxQuest account using their MyMarist information and go to the Resources section to access their free Candid Career and CareerShift accounts. FoxQuest: The Center for Career Services’ central hub where Marist students can search for full-time jobs, internships, and part-time on-campus jobs. Students must also use FoxQuest to schedule one-on-one appointments with career coaches in the Center for Career Services and RSVP for career-related workshops, information sessions, and webinars. Alumni Career Network: More than 1,300 Marist alumni are registered in the network to assist Marist students who are seeking advice about the world of work. Alumni help students in a variety of ways including advice giving via email or phone, informational interviews, job and internship referrals, job shadowing, mentoring, and more. Focus 2: Are you undecided about your major? Use this online career guidance program to take inventories of your interests, skills, work values, personality, and leisure activities. The inventory results will reveal careers in the database that could be good choices for you to pursue. Candid Career*: Explore career paths and specific roles by watching day in the life videos of professionals who work in different career clusters and at various companies. CareerShift*: Search for, select, and store listings of positions across multiple job boards that appeal to you. Access in-depth information about companies and contacts that are posting jobs. InterviewStream: Prepare for a video interview using this online simulator. See and hear yourself responding to interview questions. iLearn Site: Join the Marist College Center for Career Services iLearn site (when you log in with your MyMarist information) to explore additional career development resources.
