General information:The assembled cables and elements are used for the connection of differentcomponents of CANopen-Lift-products. It generally applies:- BUS length (main line): ≤ 200m (at baud-rate 250kBit/s)- Design the stub lines as short as possible: ≤ 6m- Stub lines shall not be longer than 60m in total. - Stub lines that are longer than 60m in total: With the prior consent of the control manufacturer a repeater or a second power supply may be needed.- At most 127 participants (nodes) at each BUS.- The main line has to be closed with a terminating resistor of 120Ω at both ends, to avoid reflexions. LIMAX 02 is an absolute measuring shaft information system that is used for positioning of lift cabins. The magnetic measurement principle is extremely robust. Dust, dirt and humidity do not aff ect the measurement in any way. Also, smoke and even higher temperatures have no infl uence on the measuring quality. Therefore, LIMAX02 is particularly suited for application in fi reman‘s lifts. Another advantage of the system is the simple and fl exible installation. Typical installation time will take less than an hour by a versed technician. Travel heights up to 260 metres and speeds up to 10m/s can be covered. The sensor head is always mounted at the car.

The magnetic band is suitable for all types of the sensor head LIMAX02. It is deli-vered cut to length (by metre) and commissioned in a special cardboard box. The maximum length available is 185m (longer lengths on demand).

Ground rules:

- at most 127 BUS participants (nodes)- BUS length (main line): ≤ 200m- Stub lines as short as possible: ≤ 6m- Stub lines in total ≤ 60m* Stub line in total ≥ 60m: With the prior consent of the control manufacturer a repeater (see page16) or a second power supply may be needed.- Terminating resistor of 120Ω at both ends of the main line. At the BUS (blue/white) a resistance of approximately 60Ω has to be measurable.- The resistance can also be integrated into the last BUS participant.

Indication: Some BUS participants have an integrated terminating resistor, which cannot be switched off.

CANopen-Lift, general informationGenerally the topology of a BUS can be arranged freely. However some ground rules have to be respected.The following examples represent only a few of the many possibilites of arragement and can be modified or complemented as needed.
