CanPRO Compact from Nemco

The only commercial can opener in the world that

opens cans from the side leaving smooth edges on

the lid!

Our Key Features include:

No “lift, slam, puncture and rip!” We cut from the side, along the outer seam

– Cutter doesn’t make contact with the inside of the can

– No metal shavings in the food

– No jagged edges on the can lid

New Cutter Design

Stainless steel cutter compression is fine tuned to improve performance

– Cutter won’t cut past the first layer of metal alleviating the chance for metal slivers

– After 2,500 – 5,000 can lids, the cutter just stops cutting indicating it needs to be replaced - - no guessing

Minimize Downtime

Designed to minimize downtime and costly repairs

– “Gearless” handle eliminates gear replacement– Cutter housing assembly is a quick change; pull the

pin and put the new one in– Stainless steel and nickel plated components

provide long life

How does it work?

Put can in place 1. Lower can opener head

onto the can - - no need to slam

2. Push down side handle to lock can in position

3. Turn handle in clockwise direction until open (5 ½ revolutions for a #10 can)

IT’S THAT EASY!

CanPRO Compact Models

No. 56050-1 Permanent Mount Model - - Bolts into the countertop

No. 56050-2 Under Clamp Model - - C-clamps to the countertop (up to 2 ¾” thick), portable

No. 56050-3 Security Model - - Designed for use in correctional facilities; handle is locked into place, shaft fitted with hole for padlock

Who’s the Competition?

Edlund’s S11, U12C and G2 Lincoln Redco’s BC070 Detecto’s CM14 Cadco’s EC10 Other imports

Let’s go after Edlund!

Why “LIFT, SLAM, PUNCTURE AND RIP” when you can just

lock and turn . . .

LESS EFFORT NEEDED FOR CUTTING

The CanPRO Compact required 2.5 to 4 times less pulling force to turn the handle while opening #10 cans.

.9 lbs of thumb pressure was needed to lock the can into the CanPRO while 3.38 to 4.05 ft/pounds of force were needed to puncture the cans by the competition equipment.

Let’s go after Edlund!

No need for putting up with DIRTY CAN LIDS (insects, mouse droppings and nameless other things) FALLING INTO THE CAN!

The CanPRO Compact cuts from the side, there’s no way the insects, mouse droppings and nameless other things fall into our can!

Let’s go after Edlund!

How many different cans of food could this Edlund blade have entered?

Why risk food contamination

and cross contamination when you don’t have to? The CanPRO opener opens from the side - - there’s no blade to enter the can!

Let’s go after Edlund!

The CanPRO uses a “gear-less” technology - - there’s no gears to wear out or break down.

Not so with the Edlund can openers! They have a gear.

No gear in handle

Let’s go after Edlund!

Have you ever cut your hand on a can lid that has a sharp and jagged edge? That can was probably opened with a traditional “lift, slam, puncture and rip” can opener.

No need to worry about that with the CanPRO. You can get every bit of food out of our can without worrying about cutting yourself on a jagged edge!

Let’s go after Edlund

Changing the cutter housing assembly on a CanPRO is as easy as I,2,3. You can’t say the same for changing an Edlund blade.

Keep an extra cutter housing assembly around to minimize

downtime!

Let’s go after Edlund!

Talk about easy to clean! Our “gripper” is located in the nose of the can opener and very easy to remove and clean.

Edlund’s “gear” (our “gripper”) is located inside the can opener and requires much more effort to remove it for cleaning.

“Why does it cut in some spots and not others?”

Is there a chip in the cutter?

They may have tried to open a can with a thicker metal area (can manufacturer defect)

“Why does my can opener not cut?”

Does the cutter need to be changed? (Every 2,500 – 5,000 can lids, consider top and bottom if they recycle)

Is there intermittent cutting (caused by a bump or flaw in the seam of the can)

Does the cutter need to be cleaned? Are they sure the can is not open? (It’s not

always apparent it’s open.)

“Can I exchange my old unit for the new style?”

Some people have already asked us about exchanging the “old style” CanPRO Safe-T1 for the new CanPRO Compact. Anything related to the CanPRO Safe-T1 should be referred to Dan Harrington at CrownWare, 604.946.1680.

GOOD SELLING!

Feel free to call us with any questions. The CanPRO Compact is another great new product opportunity from Nemco!

We look forward to seeing you at NAFEM to talk more about CanPRO; but look for a sample and literature to arrive in your offices before you leave for Anaheim.
