CANUCKS CHINESE NEW YEAR JERSEY “YEAR OF THE DOG” To celebrate the Year of the Dog, the Vancouver Canucks will wear this limited-edition warmup jersey on the ice pregame February 17th 2018. The Canucks Brand team partnered with Vancouver expat designer Charlie “Money” Chien at Shanghai’s Rice Studios to come up with a design that honours elements of both Chinese and West Coast hockey culture. Special features: A Traditional red and gold colour palette symbolizing luck and fortune B Unique “Year of the Dog” chest patch and shoulder patches embroidered red on gold. C Traditional Chinese papercut design motif D Simplified Chinese character for “Dog” integrated into papercut design E Pacific Northwest Husky dog persona representing family and strength F Curled, upturned tail symbolizing happiness and luck G Canucks stick from “stick-in-rink” logo Only 34 of these jerseys will be made, after they are worn at the game they will be made available at the Canucks Team Store. To celebrate the Year of the Dog, the Vancouver Canucks will wear this limited-edition warmup jersey on the ice pregame February 17th 2018. The Canucks Brand team partnered with Vancouver expat designer Charlie “Money” Chien at Shanghai’s Rice Studios to come up with a design that honours elements of both Chinese and West Coast hockey culture.
