The K-5 teachers are currently wrapping up another great year of learning, and a lot of time and effort are going into making the final days of the school year special for each and every one of our Canyon View students. Today, we held our end of the year assembly where we recognized various students and student groups for their outstanding achievements and contributions. Publically recognizing students is an important part of who we are as a school, and we are always looking for creative ways to celebrate our children and build an inviting and supportive learning community! We are looking forward to continuing this tradition next year, and we hope that you will share in our excitement and become active participants along the way! I want to thank all of you who took the time to complete the Spring Parent Survey during the past two weeks. The feedback received from parents will inform our strategic planning process to identify areas needing our attention for improvement. We recognize the importance of listening to our community members, and we sincerely value your input as we continue to work towards creating the optimum learning environment for all of our students. Thank you! Finally, I wanted to thank all of our amazing volunteers who have helped us throughout the year. Whether you were able to volunteer in the classroom or help out during one of our many school-wide events, we are sincerely grateful for your contributions and your unwavering commitment to our children! Have a wonderful weekend! Rob Henikman Principal

CHILDREN’S NEEDS

Dear Canyon View Families,

The end of the school year is finally upon us and the last few weeks of school are always the busiest!

Buddy Program Needs You! Welcome new students to Canyon View! Sign up for

the Buddy Program! This program is new to the Catalina Foothills school

district and has been developed by Canyon View Families to help new students. Each summer before school starts, our CV Buddy Program volunteers match new students with currently enrolled students. New students and their

buddies meet for a play date at anytime this summer. We will be holding a meet and greet at Peter Piper Pizza on

Broadway, July 31st from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Join your buddy for a free mini pizza and drink on us! The purpose

of this meet up is to help alleviate "new school jitters". Buddies will also meet with their new student friends at

Peter Piper Pizza on Broadway, July 31, from 11:30 am to 1:30 PM. Matched buddies will receive a coupon for a free

mini pizza and soft drink. If you are interested in participating in this program please fill out the Buddy
