After-School Program SPRING 2019
After school classes at Community Care Club at Community Roots Academy will teach the fundamentals of the Afro-‐Brazilian martial art capoeira by Instrutor Mosquito from ABADA-‐Capoeira Orange County. Mosquito will be teaching the basics of capoeira -‐ an exciting martial art originating from Brazil that combines elements of fighting acrobatics, dance, music, gymnastics, language and culture. Students will learn body movements, how to play musical instruments and sing. Capoeira teaches discipline, provides excellent cardiovascular exercise, and develops body awareness, rhythm and overall character. Classes are for students at all skill levels. At the end of the session, the students will participate in a performance, where the students will showcase their capoeira skills. The performance will take place in late May or early June. (exact date TBD).
• Day: Mondays • Time: K-‐2nd 3:10-‐4:00 pm & 3rd-‐7th 4:10-‐5:00 pm
• Grades: K - 12 yrs • Dates: 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20
• Cost: $75 for K-‐2nd / $85 for 3rd-‐12yrs / $10 for CCC kids enrolled on Mondays
Space is limited! Registration is on a first-come basis. Please return registration form and payment to the CRA office and have your form time stamped. Please do not send registration forms in backpacks.

• Is your child a CCC student but doesn’t attend on this day? Return only this form and class fee of $75 (k-2nd) / $85 (3rd-12yrs) to enroll. Please note, that the class fee includes CCC care only through the class end time.
• New to CCC? If your child is not currently registered with CCC this year, please additionally complete the CCC New Student Enrollment Packet
(available in the CRA office or online at www.learningcommunities.org) and a reduced $25 annual registration fee. Please return this form & enrollment packet along with registration & class fee to the CRA office to enroll. ($25 annual registration fee is a reduced “end of year” rate and will also be valid through the end of our summer program!)
*Class Fee includes CCC care from school dismissal time until the end of the class time! *Checks are non-refundable and payable to Community Roots Foundation
