• Contains: a kitchen stove, a fridge, a tv, a pull out desk and a bathroom including a shower.
A families’ movements was tracked every 10 minutes over two weekday afternoons and evenings, observing how they use their homes
Almost all activity is centered around the kitchen and the family room.
The 39-square-metre apartment
• A space where use and efficiency, not convention, would act as the design compass
A table is used that could expand from 460–2920mm and stashed it under a breakfast bar

Bunk beds that stash away behind a moving wall

A slightly larger space (62-square-metre) was made for a family.
Unite d’Habitation
• Mixes apartments, shops, sporting, medical and educational facilities and a hotel into one building.
• Also had a flat roof terrace for a communal area, including a shallow paddling pool for children
