COVID-19 PrecautionsAt Pick Up we will screen each camper by asking the following questions:
Ask if they have any of the following symptoms
Frequent cough
Fever
Difficulty breathing
Chills
Muscle pain
Headache
Sore throat
Recent loss of taste or smell
If someone they live with has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or if they have been exposed to anyone diagnosed with COVID-19
If the answer is yes to any of these questions the camper will not be allowed to attend camp and will need to leave and not return until we receive medical clearance with a Doctor's written note.
Staff will use a touch-less infrared body thermometer to take each participant's temperature. Any camper with a temperature of 100.4 F or higher will not be allowed to attend camp and will need to leave and not return until we receive medical clearance with a Doctor's written note.
All Camp Staff will also have this screening done each day of camp.
Late Comers:
If you are late delivering your camper, we will ask you to park and wait until all other campers are checked in.
Late for the 8:40 am group is 8:55 am when the groups will leave for the park activity area.
Late for the 8:50 am group is 9:05 am when the groups will leave for the park activity area.
After all other campers are checked in and have left for the activity area, our Camp Director, Frank LaGuardia will ask each late parent and camper to exit the car. They will be asked the check in questions from 10 ft. away. Parent will then be
instructed to walk their child into the park avoiding all other groups until they are 10 ft. away from the Colored Flag for the Child's group. The Camp Counselor will be informed of your arrival via walkie-talkie and will approach your child and re-ask the check in questions and take the campers temperature. At no time can the parent approach closer than 10 ft. from
the group. The parent must then leave the park area and must not approach any of the groups.
COVID-19 PrecautionsTo maintain limited contact, each group of ten will be self-contained and will not mix with the other campers and will have 6 ft. contact with only one counselor.
All staff have been trained in COVID-19 prevention and safety procedures.
Staff will emphasize the need for campers to thoroughly wash their hands or use hand sanitizer. Hand washing stations are located adjacent to the VIP Rest Rooms and sinks are inside.
Campers will not be allowed to share any item and will be asked to bring a backpack with all personal and camp related items.
Campers will be required to wear a face covering (we are providing a Captain Louie, Jr. Mask) A mask must be worn when they arrive at camp and during check in, when they are traveling to and from the activity area in the park, when they travel to the rest rooms, and when the they travel to and are at the checkout.
When the camper is inside the 6 ft. safety hoop, they will be allowed to take off their face covering.
Any time campers are singing, they will either be asked to wear a cloth face mask or they be provided a clear face shield which will prevent moisture from traveling from their mouth to others. Campers will be given this mask and asked to bring it every day in their backpack.
We have rented a VIP restroom that is only available to the campers. These restrooms will be sanitized throughout the day.
