I. TNG QUAN V CARBON NANOTUBEGii thiuS tin b vt bc trong nghin cu v pht trin vt liu, c bit l vt liu kch thc nano a cng ngh nano i u trong s pht trin khoa hc cng ngh. Trong s nhng vt liu lin quan n s khi u v tin trin ca cng ngh nano, fullerene v carbon nanotubes (CNTs) l hai vt liu quan trng v ng ch nht. Fullerene l nhng cm/phn t carbon ln, trong hnh dng ca mt khi cu rng, elip hoc ng. ng nano l loi cu trc fullerene, trong cng bao gm c buckyball. Trong khi buckyball c dng hnh cu, mt ng nano li c dng hnh tr, vi t nht mt u c ph bi mt bn cu c cu trc buckyball.

Cc ng nano carbon c phn thnh 2 loi chnh l cc ng n lp (SWNTs) v a lp (MWNTs).
