  • Student livingStudying at University can be both challenging and rewarding. All students will experience new challenges while making the transition into University life: from learning to maintain finances and building confidence in living independently to managing a varying study workload. Through the wide range of services offered at Robert Gordon University, including a dedicated adviser, we can provide students from a looked after background with the support and know how to help take on these challenges and enjoy life as a University student.

How can we help?Your adviser can help you identify and access opportunities for support in a number of key areas. Financial support can range from reimbursing travel expenses for visit/applicants days, 20% discount on 1st year student accommodation fees, one-off financial support towards bedding and cooking utensils to printing and photocopying costs. We can also advise on external financial support.

For applicants from a looked after background, The Associate Student Scheme will give you access to the University library facilities, online learning environment, Campus Moodle, student rates at the RGU Sport complex and access to the Student Union (subject to age requirements). This will allow you to become more accustomed to navigating the University campus and experiencing what it feels like to be a student at RGU.
