Workshop attendees will learn how CalCRN’s resources can be used to help students assess their career related interests, identify occupational options, and develop career action plans. A special focus will be an exploration of CalCRN’s Career & College Readiness Lesson Plans which support the development of critical career readiness skills. Attendees will receive a flash drive with all lesson content. Objectives 1. This workshop will provide an overview of CalCRN career exploration and planning resources to make expanded learning staff aware of and able to access these resources for use with their students. 2. CalCRN’s effective free resources enable expanded learning programs to work with students to explore post high school options and develop individualized career action plans. 3. Participants will take away a broad understanding of CalCRN resources and how they can be used to strengthen their expanded learning programs. 4. Participants will be able to explore features of CalCRN's web resources, including the Career and College Readiness Lesson Plans during the workshop. This professional learning session is aligned with and supports the following Quality Standards for Expanded Learning Programs: w Active and engaged learning w Skill building w Youth voice and leadership w Quality staff
