The EMBL International PhD Programme
– Was founded in 1983 and celebrates it‘s 30th anniversary in 2013
– Served as a role model for the major structured Phd Programmes in Europe
– Was awarded in 1997 the right to confer it‘s own PhD degree in honor of it‘s
outstanding performance and reputation across Europe
Since its inception several hundred EIPP students have defended
their PhD-thesis at more than 90 universities
