Vista Hinchinbrook is not only a café but also a Bed and Breakfast with three accommodation options to choose from every day of the week. Customers can choose from two newly renovated selfcontained cabins with their own exclusive deck or an ensuite room aached to the main complex with its own private entry. Being a local family owned business, Vista Hinchinbrook acquires products such as coffee, tea and dairy products from other local businesses. Singapore Daisy Inspection and Control Council wishes to advise that inspection and control of Singapore Daisy will be undertaken in areas of Cordelia and Bambaroo from Wednesday 1 September 2021 with completion anticipated by Friday 17 September 2021, weather permiing. Singapore Daisy is a restricted invasive plant under the Biosecurity Act 2014 and has been targeted for removal under the Hinchinbrook Local Government Area Biosecurity Plan. Single-use Plastics Ban All Queensland businesses must stop supplying banned single-use plastic items once the ban begins on Wednesday 1 September 2021, unless they are an exempt organisation. Organisations that will no longer be able to provide a banned item include restaurants, cafes, bars, takeaway food shops, party suppliers, supermarkets, packaging suppliers, market stalls, not-for- profit organisations (including charities and community groups), online stores and many more. If you have leſtover banned plastic items, do not bin them, there is now a solution to ensure these items do not go to waste. The Great Plastic Rescue is an initiative that collects those banned plastic items and guarantees to get them recycled. Register through the link below. Council has received feedback from the business community that there is a demand for increased provision in locally delivered training, across many industry sectors within the Shire. The purpose of this session is for TAFE Queensland to meet with interested community members and gain a greater understanding of the training needs within the Shire, now and into the future. Wine and Cheese Night Friday 27 August 2021 saw a Wine and Cheese night at the Herbert River Museum and Gallery. This event was to celebrate the digital restoration of historical photographs. The images depict important historical scenes and events of the Herbert River district. This project was supported by Council through a successful RADF Grant. 22 photos were successfully restored and copied digitally, printed and mounted ready for display. The design and printing of postcards was also produced through this grant. Congratulations to Ann Vardanega and local volunteers for taking a step back in time to assist with restoring and showcasing pieces of history at the Herbert River Museum and Gallery. RADF provides funding to successful applicants for up to 70% of the total project cost. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a partnership between the Queensland Government and Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland. Council is calling for Expressions of Interest for the management of the Ingham Picture Theatre (Kelly Theatre).

Are you a community group and/or not for profit organisation that would be interested in managing the Ingham Picture Theatre?
