PROSPECTUS
The Dominican Republic Table Tennis Association and the Caribbean Region Table Tennis Federation (CRTTF) invite all affiliated countries to participate in the Caribbean Mini-Cadet (U-11) and pre-Cadet (U-13) Table Tennis Championship, which will be held in the “PABELLON TENIS DE MESA, PARQUE DEL ESTE ” Sport Center, Santo Domingo, Rep. Dominicana. August 26th – 31st, 2018. ARRIVING DATE: Saturday, August 25th , 2018. (Sunday, August 19th for Hopes participants) VENUE: Parque del Este Table Tennis Hall, Santo Domingo DEPARTURE DATE: Saturday, September 1st, 2018. ENTRIES: Deadline for the preliminary entry form: July 10th, 2018.

PARTICIPANTS: All countries affiliated to and up to date with the Annuities of the Caribbean Region Table Tennis Federation can participate. Official delegation of each country comprises: 4 boys per age category (maximum 8). 4 girls per age category (maximum 8) 1 coach per age category (maximum 4) 1 delegate Total of the Official Delegation – 21 persons
ELIGIBITY: Mini-Cadets (U-11) - Players born on or after 1st January of 2007
Pre-Cadets (U-13) - Players born on or after 1st January of 2005 EVENTS: Team Events (Boys and Girls)
Doubles Events (Boys, Girls and Mixed) Single Events (Boys and Girls)
PLAYING SYSTEM : Team Events The team event (Boys and Girls) will be played according the Swaythling system (ABC-XYZ).
First Stage In the first stage, if the total of participating teams is less than six (6), it will be played according to the “Round Robin” system in one group. If there six (6) or more teams they will be conformed in as many groups as necessary, with a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of four (4) teams per group.
Second Stage: If there is no round-robin, the first and second placed teams of each group will compete in an“Elimination Knock-out System” to define the final positions. There will be play-offs for all positions.
Doubles Events: All doubles events will be played under the simple Elimination knock-out system. The matches will be five (5) games first to win three (3). The host country will be allowed twice the number of doubles entries.
Singles Events: The singles events will be played in two stages. Groups will comprise minimum three or maximum four, and they will compete according to “Round Robin” system. The matches will be five (5) games to win (3). The first two players of each group qualify for the final stage. In the final only of the Junior division, it will be seven (7) games to win four (4), by a simple Elimination Knock-out System. The host country will be allowed twice the number of singles entries.
RULES: The championship will be conducted according the rules established by the ITTF,
under the jurisdiction of the Tournament Referee sanctioned by the CRTTF.
AWARDS: Medals to each competitor in the first, second and third place in Doubles and Singles Events. Trophies to the winners of the first three absolute places.
MEETING: Will take place on August 24th at 7:00 pm. The Technical Meeting will be conducted
by the Competition Manager sanctioned by the CRTTF, The draw will be conducted by the Tournament Referee designated by FDTM.
EQUIPMENT: Tables – Double Fish blue
Balls – 3*** 40 mm white RAISE VENUE: Maximum 9 tables
Flooring- Red Teraflex HOSPITALITY: The Dominican Republic Table Tennis Association will provide accommodation and
meals at a rate of USD 40.00 per day per official person in the delegation (double occupancy). Extra accompanying persons will pay US$60.00 per day (double occupancy). The hotel is Albergue Olímpico, Address: Calle Pedro Olivo Cedeño, esquina calle 39,
The host country will charge US$60.00 per day to the countries that arrive before August 24th and leave after September 1st. The day after this date will be the cost per day of US$60.00.
The host country will be responsible for the costs of hosting the CRTTF President and Competition Manager CRTTF.

August 25 Delegations Arrival. August 25 7:00 pm Technical Meeting – Draw for Teams competition. August 26 9:00 am Teams Events. August 26 6:00 pm Opening ceremony. August 27 9:00 am Team Events and Final. Awards ceremony after final. August 27 3:00 pm Draw for Doubles competition. August 28 9:00 am Doubles Events. August 29 Free / Rest day August 30 9:00 am Single Events – Preliminary stage and draw for knock-out. August 31 9:00 am Single Events – Final stage. August 31 3:00 pm Closing Ceremony. Sept. 01 Delegations departure.
