THE 13TH EDITION OF CARIFESTA

CINEMA
SCREENINGS
Film entries created and
submitted by citizens of
CARICOM and CARIFORUM
countries will be screened at
the Olympus VIP Theatres,
Sheraton Mall, Christ Church.
Each day during August 19 –
27 there will be three shows in
two cinemas: 2 p.m., 5 p.m.
and 8 p.m.
Tickets will be pre-sold.
COMMUNITY SCREENINGS
Three outdoor evening events at which selected
Caribbean films will be screened.
These will be family-oriented and free of cost to the public.
SYMPOSIUM The CARIFESTA Symposium will be
hosted at the UWI Cave Hill Campus
during August 19 – 23.
Entitled The Caribbean, the Arts and
the Cultural Industries: Negotiating
Tradition, Aesthetics, Economics and
Legacy, it will feature a number of
discussions via a wide range of
media: conference papers,
performances, film screenings,
masquerade, visual arts, posters, etc.

WORKSHOPS
Two major
film workshops
will be scheduled
during the week days.
GRAND MARKET AND BUYERS’ SHOPPING MALL
LLOYD ERSKINE SANDIFORD CENTREThis newly-modelled marketplace for CARIFESTA exhibitors and local, regional
and international buyers will run during August 18 – 26
from 10 a.m. until midnight daily.
Film or audio visual products of CARICOM and CARIFORUM citizens
will be offered for sale/display in the Book Shop.

A specific programme will be

Screenings and other activities will be
marketed
Tickets for screenings will be made
