With arguably the best administrator in Australian sport Brian Cook joining us as CEO, new AFL Senior Coach Michael Voss guiding our men’s team and our AFLW side back and determined as ever, our football club could not be better placed to take a significant step towards the success we are all striving for.

Most importantly, we want you to share this experience with us – every step of the way.

As you would know, there are few things better than Carlton games with a massive crowd, an electric atmosphere and seeing it all unfold from one of the best seats in the house.

CARLTON RESPECTS

2022 will see the first full year of the Carlton Respects Digital Learning Platform to allow for rapid growth and uptake of the program across the state and country. The schools program continues to educate students aged between 10 and 14 years old on the importance of respectful relationships, equality and deconstructing gender stereotypes.

The annual AFLW and AFL Carlton Respects Games will also continue for the fifth and seventh years respectively, bringing awareness to the social cause with players donning orange socks amongst a number of activations to spread the message of gender equality for the prevention of violence against women.

As made clear by ‘Change the Story’, a shared framework for the primary prevention of violence against women and their children in Australia; “Gender inequality is the core of the problem and it is the heart of the solution.”

After establishing a culture of belonging and unity, Carlton is well-placed to provide leadership to the community in this space. Featuring in the Club’s strategic plan, Carlton Respects aims to be the most influential gender equality program in Australian sport.

Since 2016, the Carlton Football Club has made significant impact in the prevention of violence against women space via the development and delivery of the Carlton Respects initiative in schools, workplaces and the general community.
