From our communication we understand The Bluewater Group have a requirement for a competent partner to take responsibility for the group’s shipping, handling and onward delivery program.

The aim of the contract will be to streamline procurement and administration burden for participating member businesses and provide one point of contact for all shipments and transport into the UK and onward to the members of the organisation. Bluewater require a flexible partner that will embrace the ethos and core values of the company and its members and enhance their trading experience.

Whilst Carlton House is able to provide further services as previously detailed we are initially requested to provide the following services to the Bluewater Group.

Analysis and implementation of the most cost effective shipping method from Supplier.

Liaising with the supplier to organise shipment.

Procurement and management of Road haulage for European loads

Consolidation facilities in country of origin where LCL load applies.

Import Documentation and Customs clearance

Duty an VAT deferment facilities

Deliveries direct to client on full container/trailer loads.

Delivery into Carlton House of consolidated/shared containers/trailers.

Debunk containers

QC in line with Bluewater Group guidelines

Liaise with Members on onward transportation or temporary storage requirements.

Dispatch to members as required via most cost effective routes.

Short or medium term storage as required by client

Direct deliveries to members customers as required.

our commitment:Carlton House will donate 1% of all Bluewater Group turnover with Carlton house to UBT/

Grace Trust. ( with the exception of duty and VAT invoices)

A partnership with Carlton House will:

1. Guarantee cost effective Importing for all Bluewater members.

2. Provide one point of contact from supplier to your warehouse or client.

3. Deliver flexible supply solutions from direct container to palletise storage or even cartons direct to a member’s customer.

4. Remove the administrative and operational burden to all Bluewater members.

5. Provide total peace of mind and progress visibility via our transparent Smartsheet shipping interface accessible to all participating members.

costsCosts are based on a 12 month contract to provide the above services on Bluewater imports with a 3 month prior trial period in which either party may terminate the agreement.

Debunk container: 20ft £125 : 40ft £195 : 40HQ £215.

Pallet in/QC: £2.50

Pallet OUT/Handling/outbound QC: £3.00

IN/OUT Same day turnaround handling fee ( replaces IN/OUT Fees) £4.00

Short term storage (rate applies to Bluewater members and Bluewater Group) £0.36p/day(delivery day not charged).

Pallets where required supplied at £3.25

Management fee for provision of all services as detailed within client brief per load £45.00

“ we recently had a shipment of kits in, We committed to deliver to our customer at the end of January. These needed repacking and 2 further UK components adding into the pack. The container docked at felixtowe on the 30th! Carlton House ensured fast dock clearance and received the 40ft HQ container on the 31st January!....the container was unloaded, 3000 kits reworked and repacked, palletised, loaded onto a waiting trailer and by 1pm the goods were on their way to our customer...who, having the previous day been told the container was only due into our warehouse for reworking on the 31st having docked on the 30th, refused to believe us until the goods arrived! ...unbelievable service!”
