We talked about the origins of the tradion, trimmed the tree,

strung popcorn and listened to Christmas Carols while sipping

hot cocoa. Ivy Beechy joined us to decorate sugar cookies. Our

very own Ramona played beauful Christmas Carols at the

piano. Our Christmas cra! idea was given to us by Anna S. We made

adorable Christmas trees with felt and bu"ons. We ended the week

with a Christmas movie

and popcorn.

Teresa Sisk introduced us

to chair Zumba. We

learned different moves

and tried our best to keep

up!

It is always a great me at

our Senior Cizens Lunch-

eon. We love to see our

friends and catch up. Did

we menon the food is

always so good!!!

Our Chit Chat topics for the month were Rock and Roll, which included Chuck Berry, Elvis, Sock Hops, Records,

Dancing, The Beatles and Dave Clark. We also touched on earth quakes and belly dancing.

We enjoy our Scenic drives that we are now doing twice a week!!! We stop for a tasty cold treat

and then head out into the countryside to check on the size of the corn and beans in the field. We

reminisced and talk about how things have changed, where we grew up and what our parents did.

We have been baking up a storm making Mon-

key Bread and Strawberry Crumble bars! Enjoy-

ing these treats with a cup of coffee in the a!er-

noon just hits the spot!

To nurture our creave sides everyone got their

own coffee mug and personalized it with the

colors of their choice. It’s truly fascinang what

a li"le water and nail polish can do!

Who doesn’t love fresh air? We have

been fortunate to spend many mornings and even some a!er-

noons this summer enjoying the pao. We listen to music, ex-

ercise, reminisce, and work in our flower beds. There always

seems to be a beauful blue sky to look at and fascinang

clouds to add to conversaon. And don’t forget the bubbles!!!

Our Family Night was a Luau theme with live music. The resi-

dents and families had so much fun.

We have so much more in store for September.

See our upcoming events and join us for a great me!
