Amanda Irvin, recently attended meetings in Jefferson City, Missouri, to represent busi-nesses in the Bootheel region. The meetings were about the importance of early child-hood education, the impact it has on the economy, and the need for more funding in this area. Also attending the meetings were: Torree Pederson, Excecutive Director, ACE; Ty-ler Nottberg, US Engineering Company, ACE Founder; Erin Brower, Policy Director, Part-nership for Children; Dr. John Vandewalle, LumenTouch, ACE Board Member; Richard Bland, Save the Children; Andrew Hysell, Save the Children; Brian Crouse, Missouri Chamber of Commerce; Stephanie Wells, Principal, South Pemiscot Elementary, Steele, Missouri. Some of the members from the group are shown above at the State Capitol Building after meeting with District #150 Representative, Kent Hampton.

The Caruthersville Fire and Police Departments are selling tickets for a chance to win this 2013 Polaris 500 EFI Crew Cab Ranger and trailer. Tick-ets are 1 for $10.00 or 5 for $40.
