Ann Dowd��Compliance Ann Dowd was born in 1956, one of seven children raised by her single mother after her father died when she was a senior in high school. She graduated in 1978 from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass where she was a premed student and took acting classes. Dowd credits her instructors at that time for persuading her to forgo medical school and follow her passion for acting. She will be receiving an award for her subtle performance as Sandra, a fast-food restaurant manager in the film Compliance, who allows terrible things to happen to an employee. Dowd received the National Board of Review award for Best Supporting Actress for this penetrating role.

Elle Fanning,�Ginger & RosaBorn in 1998, Elle Fanning is an American actress and younger sister of actress Dakota Fanning. Fanning currently attends Campbell Hall School in North Hollywood. She is known for her starring roles in Phoebe in Wonderland, Somewhere and We Bought a Zoo. In 2011 Fanning starred in her breakout role as Alice Dainard in J. J. Abrams’ sci-fi-drama blockbuster, Super 8. She will be receiving an award for bringing intense emotion to the screen as Ginger, a teenager living in London during the Cuban Missile Crisis in Ginger & Rosa.

Ezra MillerThe Perks of Being A WallflowerEzra Miller was born in 1992 and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey. His mother is a modern dancer and his father was Senior VP and Managing Director of Walt Disney Company’s adult book publishing division. When he was six, Miller started to train as an opera singer to help him overcome a speech impediment. He has performed with the Metropolitan Opera and in the U.S. premiere of Philip Glass’s opera White Raven. Miller dropped out of school at sixteen after the release of his film Afterschool. He will receive an award for his role as the vivacious Patrick, a high school student struggling with being gay in The Perks of Being A Wallflower.

Eddie RedmayneLes MiserablesEnglish born actor, singer, and model, Eddie Redmayne made his professional stage debut for Shakespeare’s Globe theatre in Twelfth Night at the Middle Temple Hall in 2002. Redmayne won a 2010 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his performance in the West End and Broadway production of the drama play Red. His film credits include The Good Shepherd, Powder Blue, Savage Grace, The Other Boleyn Girl, Hick and Glorious 39. Redmayne will receive an award for his powerful and emotional portrayal of the love-stricken Marius in Les Miserables.

Quvenzhané Wallis Beasts of the Southern Wild Wallis was born in 2003 in Houma, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Qulyndreia, a teacher, and Venjie Wallis, Sr., a truck driver. At age five, Wallis lied about her age to audition for the starring role in Beasts of the Southern Wild, which the minimum age to be considered was six. Wallis beat out 4,000 contenders for the role of Hushpuppy. She is the youngest actress ever to receive a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Wallis, who at such a young age, astonishes with her performance in Beasts of the Southern Wild, will receive an award.

Omar Sy, The IntouchablesOmar Syis a French film actor, best known for his duo with Fred Testot in Omar et Fred and for his role in The Intouchables, written and directed by Olivier Nakache and Éric Toledano, which became the second highest grossing French film of all time. Sy will receive an award for his masterful honesty and humor as Driss, an ex-con who develops an unlikely friendship in The Intouchables.
