Indexing reers to the process oestablishing links within your site.Only in very rare instances will youwant to turn it o.

Basically, youll want to turn it owhen you dont want a page or aolder to appear in the let handnavigation on your published

How do I insert a link to a page outside of my website?

Its bad web etiquette to externallylink to images on other websites.Doing so uses up resources where theimage is located. (So, this manualdoes not cover external imagelinking.)

Te Alternate ext serves twounctions:

1. It will appear i the image isunable to load, letting the viewerknow an image was supposed to gothere.

2. It gets read by screen reading

programs that help handicappedusers navigate the Internet.
