Approach Paper

Learning Objective:

Users on completing the course (game), should quickly recall the required documents for a specific

situation

Target Profile:

Predominantly sales guys from ICICI PRU

In the age group of 20-35

Mostly kinesthetic learners (learn by doing)

Strategy

Considering that the learner has to recall the key documents for specific contexts, providing scenarios

and asking learner to attempt them is considered a suitable approach. Repeated practice of such

scenario testing would help achieve the objective.

Further, considering that the learners mostly are kinesthetic learners, we recommend using a game

based approach.

Learner will have the option of using the keyboard arrows to move the car forward, backward,

clockwise or anti-clockwise.

A banner appears on the screen to display the instructions to play the game.

The key things included to play the game are :

A car

A timer

A pit and

A fuel indictor

Timer measures the time taken by the learner to complete the case studies (5 in number) in each

lap.

Race includes “n” number of laps.

The user will have to drive the car all along to complete one lap.

By the time the user completes the first lap, the fuel in the car is exhausted and the user will have

to enter the PIT.

The pit contains the fuel indicator which tells the user that the fuel in the car is exhausted.

For filling the fuel in the car, the user has to attempt five cases.

With each correct attempt, the fuel level in the car rises. For incorrect attempt, the level remains

the same which compels the user to try till he makes the correct attempt and the level rises to

„Full ‟ level.

Here, a timer is set to record the time taken by the user to attempt all 5 case studies in each lap.

It also records the number of (correct / incorrect ) attempts made by the user in each lap.

If the learner gets them right in the first time, he will save some time.

If he makes a wrong attempt, he has to retry in order to fill the fuel, otherwise he will not be

allowed to drive or enter the next lap. This may take additional time for the user which is

recorded.

Page 2: Case 1

After completion of the four (say n) laps, the time taken by each user to complete the case

studies and the number of attempts are recorded and can probably be measured against other

users‟ time and attempts.
