Background of The Surin Communities• OTOP (One Tambon One Product) movement has

brought positive changes to rural communities. It has already implemented for 10 years.

• Working-age people migrate to urban cities• There are few opportunities to earn cash for

young people in rural communities• Local wisdoms or traditions are not passed down

to new generation• More strong leadership is needed in rural

communities• Tourism industry has potential but there is not

enough promotion on it• There are few collective activities and community

capacity is low2015/04 11

Tatit village keeps interesting local Gui’s culture, traditions and

elephant breeding. There are many natural resources along the Chee

river all year around. That beautiful scenery is our great feature.

Having a walk with elephants, taking a shower at the Chee river and rowing a kayak: Tatit village is ready for exchanging culture, traditions of the Gui ethnic group. There is a small souvenir before you go back.
