Characterised by low horizontal lines sitting squat on a West Vancouver hillside, our project began as an excercise in view screening and framing.An existing mature garden is edited and pared back to its bones. A 70’s pool is updated and modernized. Spaces for living, entertaining and relaxing are defined. Characterised by low horizontal lines sitting squat on a West Vancouver hillside, our project began as an excercise in view screening and framing.
An existing mature garden is edited and pared back to its bones. A 70’s pool is updated and modernized. Spaces for living, entertaining and relaxing are defined. Elements are arranged infront of a cityscape panarama and the twinkling lights of traffic on the Lionsgate.
Phase 1. Envisioning what might be and meeting chief resident, loyal friend and tenacious playmate Lola the Bulldog. Our proposal is to extend the outdoor living space, explore a future hot-tub location and offer solutions to screening the acres of car parking at the Park Royal mall.

Grandparents approval
The aquamarine pool is re-tiled and rendered a matt black allowing the still water to become the mirror for an ever changing West Van sky. Custom inground LED strips draw the eye towards the distant views of a frenetic city skyline.
