Aquabridge knew that the alternative solution – networking both premises and utilising more traditional virtual private networks (VPNS) – would prove too costly and time consuming for their new business, therefore were keen to reap the benefits of cloud computing. Strident solution As lawyers operating within a multi-office environment, Aquabridge staff needed access to all centrally held documents as well as the capacity to simply ‘plug in’ to the system from wherever they were, including from home. Strident provided Aquabridge with a solution comprising of Microsoft Office 365 along with Sharepoint and developed a Sharepoint customisation plan to meet their specific needs. Office 365’s package of Cloud-based tools and services enables IT users to safely and securely access their email, documents, contacts and calendars as well as other core services from virtually anywhere on almost any device. 365’s scalability is ideal for new businesses as it enables them to not only make the most of their technology investments but also to look towards future growth without the burden of upgrading infrastructure.

Strident also provided the required hardware and software and developed a cost-effective contract for ongoing support. Whilst operating solely in the Cloud, Aquabridge were also provided with the facility to back up locally, for additional system resiliency.

Business benefits Secure, cost-effective and flexible, the solution of Office 365 coupled with bespoke Sharepoint customisation has proved ideal for Aquabridge, with busy lawyers able to access their data quickly and efficiently from virtually anywhere. Since implementation, Aquabridge have employed two new starters who were able to utilise the new system almost instantly and Strident’s knowledge of the 365 environment has enabled them to respond to requests quickly and efficiently, safeguarding productivity for the firm.
