Red Bull, an Austrian beverage producer is one of the most active advertising companies in the market. The compa-nies has its own Formula One team, football clubs and sponsors many sportsmen and -woman. MotocyclistSandro Cortese is one the fastest drivers in the Moto3 class. This year, he won the World Championship and Red Bull invited his fans to a big party in his home town Berk-heim, Germany.

Red Bull also sent its X-Fighters with cool Motocross stunts, an aerobatic plane and Mattias Ekström, giving Sandro Cortese a ride in his Audi DTM race car. 7000 people followed the invitation and cheered the burnouts. Although Germany has one of the best internet networks in the world, it is still a challenge to get dedicated upload bandwith.Using cellular networks never works, if sever-al hundred people are on site using the same cell. Even bonding does not help, since available bandwith is still to poor when bonded. The only relieable solution is satellite technology with its dedicated upload bandwidth. After arriving in Berkheim, the miniCASTER® team was ready to go LIVE after 45 min. including the cabling for the Red Bull media center. This was the place where all the journalists worked and contents were uploaded during the day. Aside a powerful WiFi access, Ethernet connections were also established for maximum hard-wired speed.

„Radio 7“, a regional radio station sent two reporters generating audio and video footage. After editing, they uploaded the content in some seconds. „dpa“ (German press agency), represented by a photo reporter and a journalist, uploaded their text and photos in less then 2 minutes.

„Fast upload means faster at home“ was one of the quotes, you could hear in the late afternoon, when a long day came to its end and you could look into happy faces all over the place. A great day for miniCASTER®.
