James Wan is a director who mainly deals with horror. He has worked on some of the biggest modern horror films for example all the saws.

James Wan is of Chinese and Australian descent. James Wan was born in Malaysia on February 26, 1997 which makes him 37 years old and in that time he has made over 11 of the biggest modern horror films.

He was the Director of the 2004 horror film Saw that spawned a franchise for which he served as co-executive producer. He also directed Insidious in 2010 and The Conjuring in 2013.

Before he became famous for his work His debut feature Stygian won the award for Best Guerrilla Film at the 2000 Melbourne Underground Film Festival.

Saw is a 2004 American horror film directed by James Wan. The screenplay, written by Leigh Whannell, is based on a story by Wan and Whannell. The film stars Cary Elwes, Danny Glover, Monica Potter, Michael Emerson, Ken Leung, Tobin Bell, and Leigh Whannell and the first instalment of the seven-part Saw franchise.

The film's story revolves around Adam (Whannell) and Lawrence (Elwes), two men who are chained in a dilapidated subterranean bathroom and are each given instructions via a microcassette recorder explaining how to escape. Adam is told he must escape the bathroom, while Lawrence is told to kill Adam before a certain time, or Lawrence's family will die. Meanwhile, police detectives investigate and attempt to find the victims' location and apprehend the mastermind behind the current "game" and several other similar incidents.

on the hunt for the twisted vigilante and serial killer Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), Detective Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) and his team must apprehend the elusive murderer to rescue eight people trapped in an abandoned house, before they succumb to his torturous and murderous games. One twist to this task is that Matthews' own son, Daniel (Erik Knudsen), is among the eight people Jigsaw has chosen to test for their lack of morality. With nerve gas pumping through the house, every second counts.

After his wife meets a grisly end, Jamie Ashen (Ryan Kwanten) returns to their creepy hometown of Ravens Fair to unravel the mystery of her murder. Once there, he discovers the legend of Mary Shaw (Joan Heney), a murdered ventriloquist whose eerie presence still looms over the town. As he desperately digs for answers, Jamie encounters the curse that took his wife's life and threatens his own.
