Dear 4th class & Parents,
Well done on all your continued hard work. Only two weeks left of school work so try your absolute best to
finish off 4th class to the best of your ability!
I know it’s really disappointing that we’re not in school this month especially since this is the time of
year when we usually get to do really exciting things like school tours. However, this week we will
be going on a virtual tour of Dublin Zoo! I know it’s not quite the same as the real thing but I think it
will a fun chance to learn more about all the animals who live there. On three days this week you
will have a video to watch of Dublin Zoo. You are then going to pick one animal from the video to
create a factfile about using information from the Dublin Zoo website.
-Animal encyclopaedias - https://www.dublinzoo.ie/animals/our-animals/
-You can watch live webcams in the zoo and try to spot some animals here -

Everyone in the school is going to have a virtual picnic next week at a time that suits them. So grab
a picnic blanket, your favourite picnic snacks and set up your picnic somewhere in your garden or
house. Take a picture of your picnic and you can send it to Elaine
([email protected]) with the subject “Photos for picnic” by Fridays 19th June.
Elaine is very kindly going to put these photos into a slideshow for us so we can see everyone
having their picnics.
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Ms. Culbert
