    mysterious castle. As Soma, you must navigate the caste's labyrinths whileconfronting perilous monsters at every turn. But beware, you must escape beforeevil consumes you!

    The year is 2035.Japan.Crowds of spectators aregathering around in anticipation ofthe first full solar eclipse of thetwenty-first century.

    My name is Soma Cruz, and I ama high school exchange studentstudying abroad in Japan.

    I live near the Ha uba Shrine,an ancient shrine with strongties to Japanese mythology.

    Mina Ha uba, the only daughter ofthe shrine's careta er, is bothmy classmate and my choldhood friend.

    I started ma ing my way to theshrine to see the solar eclipsewith Mina. But for some strangereason, the stairway leading up tothe shrine felt longer than usual,as if something was trying to eepus from our destination.

    When I finally managed to getthrough the the shrine gate, and my sensesbegan to dim...

    fireball attac to ill the last remaining enemy. You just obtained his soul.You are now able to move freely. Now is the time to get used to jumping, firingyour weapon, ect. Once you feel comfterable, go right into the castle. You mayalso want to hit pause and get to now your menu. Right away you will be facedto fight zombies. They will eep appearing after you ill them, but you canstill get some good experience from them. Once you obtain his soul be sure togo into your menu to the Soul Set selectiona and go down to the yellow orb.Select that soul to it and exit out. Continue right to the next room. Here youwill be attac ed by 2 bats. The best stradigy to ill them is to stand on theleft staircase and let them fly to you. Once they are close enough stab themand they will die. If your luc y they will give you their red soul, which youwould equip with the red orb in the soul set selection in your menu. Then goand pic up the sword. This will increase your attac by 5 once you go intoyour menu and choose equip, then in the top slot select your sword you justobtained. Then go down and to the right to get an ability called Grave Keeper.With this you can bac dash by pressing L. You can toggle this ability on andoff by going into your menu and selecting ability, then choose Grave Keeper andit will go off. By default it is turned on. Once it is obtained you may fightthe mermen which will give you a red soul, or go right into the save point.

    Once you saved go out of the save point area and go up. If you remember you sawa cape when you first entered this room, so go left and pic up this accessorywhich will increase your defence by one. To equip it go into your menu andgo to equip/accessory. Now go right to the next room. You will fight some

    s eletons which will give you a red soul. Go right to the next room and youwill face an axe night. It will ta e a few hits to ill so be sure to ducwhen he throws it high and jump over it when he throws his axe low. I hope youleveled up at least once because you are about to face a boss. If you didn'tlevel up at least once continue to fight the axe nights and if you run low onHP go bac to the save point, but if you feel li e you will win the fight goright into the blue gate which contains your first boss!

    Difficulty: **/*****He isn't that difficult if you eep your distance. You will find him crawlingon the ground. Equip the s eleton's soul and throw bones at him while eepingyour distance. When he lifts his arm bac bac dash by pressing L to avoid somemajor damage. Once he attac ed continue throwing bones at him until he dies. Hewill also shoot a fireball at you. This one is easier to dodge because you justhave to jump over it. After hitting him a few times he will die, just rememberto eep your distance and try not to hit him with your normal weapon. Once youbeat him remember to get the magical ball that he drops and go right.

    In here go right to where you see the map. Pic it up and then go right intothe next room which is a save point. Once you save go bac out and down. Defeatthe bats and eye and then shoot the left wall which will reviel a secret room!Go inside to pic up an item that will refill your MP when you need it inbattle. Go out of this room and go right to the next room. Swim all the wayright until you get to the dead end, which you will find your first blue soul.In your menu go to Soul Set/Blue Soul and equip it. You can now glide throughthe air with this. Go bac to the save point and save, but this time when youcome out go up. Beware of the lion wheel that will fall from above about halfway through. At the top you will need to hold down R to glide across to the

    next platform. Go right to the next room. In here you will see a bone sna e anda potion. I would fight the sna e from behind since the head is the only partof his body that will harm you. Just beware after you hit him he will go right.He is strong so only fight him if you want to, then go right to the next room.In here go right and then up the stairs. Glide over to pic up the armor thengo follow the stairs left to pic up the potion. Then go up and right to thenext room. In here follow the path up and glide to get a potion, then continuedown and right until you get to the next room. There will be a bone sna e inhere that will spit fire at you, so beware. Pic up the accessory to raise yourdefence up by one and go out. Follow the path bac left again in this room andgo left again to the next room. Defeat the bone archor and axe armor in hereand go left again. In here go down and right to the next room. Go all the wayright to the next room. Kill or avoid the 2 s eletons and eye and go rightagain. Beware of the zombies in this long hallway and progress right again tothe next room. There isn't much you can do in this room so go right again. Inthe next long hallway your will encounter a roc enemy, just be sure to eepyour distance from him when when he is throwing his roc , then continue rightto the next room. In here they will taunt you with a sword that you can't get,so go right to the next room (don't fall down!) which is a save point finally!

    Now exit the save point and fall down and then go left to the next room. Breathe vase in here to reviel $50 and then continue down until you can go right toa new room. In here pic up the potion and then go bac out. Now continueheading left until you get to a dead end. Pic up the $500 and then go all the

    way bac to the save point. Once there go down and this time go right whichyou will get into a conversation with Graham about what happened in 1999. Headright until you get to the new area.

    First go up the staircase to the next room. Outside now go left and pic up the100 gold and then go right. Kill the axe armor and then continue right untilyour reached a dead end. Now go up and ill the bone towers, then eep goingup. Jump across the 2 bells and head up until you get the MP potion. Now dropall the way down and go down the stairs to the next room. In here go rightuntil you reach the next room. Don't go down the stair case, but instead jumpon the statues which are bended in with the bac ground until you reach astaircase which u can go up, then go up it. Go right and up and jump on the

    bone tower, then jump up to get a new sword. Equip it then go bac down to theprevious room you were just in. Follow the stairs down all the way on the rightand go down to the next room. In here go left to the save point.

    Exit the save point and go down and left to the next room. In here throw bonesat the plants or whatever you have equiped to throw down at the plants. Killall of the enemies until you get to the next boss room. Now's the time to levelup if you need to, but when your ready go left to the blue boss doors!

    The first time I fought him I beat him just by swinging my sword at him withoutmoving at level 5 and had 34 HP left over. I advise that you don't do that, butit wor s. You'll want to use the same tactics as the last boss, when he moveshis tail quic ly bac dash to avoid getting poisoned. He will also shootfireballs out of his mouth. The platforms are almost useless unless you want tothrow something at him. Once you beat him pic up the orb and go left to thenext room.

    Once you ill him go right and up (Don't exit the room!) and go right to thenext room. Inside will be a white cloth which will bring your intelegence up.Now go all the way bac to the save point then come bac to this room again.Once bac inside go all the way left and down. Go right to the next room andthis will ta e you to a new section of the castle.

    As soon as you enter you may do a side quest for a slightly better weapon:

    *Side Quest*Go right to the next room. Then go right, down, left, and left again to get thenew sword. It's not much better, but at least you have some map coverage. Nowbac trac to the room where you started from.

    In here drop all the way down to the next room. Go left and pic up yellowbottle and then head right to the next room. You can push that crate but it isuseless now since you still can't jump up to the higher platform. So go downand left. Keep your distance when fighting all of the enemies in here so youdon't get poisoned or cursed. Kill the bull if you have enough HP and then go

    left and down to the next room. In here go left and you will reach a savepoint.

    Exit the save point and then go right to the next room where you will meet Yo oBelnades, which her last name should sound fimiliar to the old Castlevaniafans. After the conversation go right and be careful because there are somestrong enemies in here such as the minotaur. Go right out of this room andcontinue going right until you get to the room with $100. Then go left 1 roomand drop down the left side which will ta e you to the next boss. Remember ifyour not strong enough you can go bac and level up, but if you are ready go

    Finally the boss's get alot tougher. His only wea spot is his head. When hestops moving he is about to attac you with his sword. You want to have aweapon that will go into the air when you use it while you remain on theground, such as the s eleton soul. There is however a cheap way to beat him ifyou have some free time on your hands, drag him all the way to the one side ofthe room and then use the soul that will fire 2 white mists at him. Continuedoing this while standing at the door and he won't be able to hurt you. Onceyour MP is drained use a red potion to regain it, or wait a few minutes for itto come bac . Rince and reuse until he is dead. Get his orb and go left to talto Hammer.

    After your done go left and obtain a new ability, double jump! Now

    you can jump twice in the air! Now bac trac all the way to the room with thecrate that you can push. Push the crate left first so it will fall to thebottom of the room. Pic up the new sword then exit and enter this room againto reset the crate. Once you enter again push the crate right. Go up thereand get a nec lace which will raise your luc up. Then go down to the next roomand then left again. Continue to bac trac to the previous stage. In here goup and this time go left to the section you couldn't explore before. Carefullytravel up this room and go right to the next room. Go right again to the nextroom. Kill the bone sna e and go up the staircase and eep going up until youcan go left into a room. Get the item in here and then go bac out and up tothe next room on the left. You just activated a warp!!! You are now bac at thebegining of the castle. Go right and then continue going upward. If you are lowon health go to the save point first then return here. When you get to the

    right column go down and pic up the brass nuc les, you can attac alotquic er with them. Then go all the way down to the enterance of the castle(You will need to press down and A to go down platforms, the enterance of thecaslte is where you began your quest) You can tal to Mina there if you wouldli e and Hammer is there selling items. Ta e your time when buying or sellingitems. Then head right to the very first save point you accessed.

    Exit the save point and go up and right. Go right until you get to the roomjust before you fought your first boss. Travel up and when you can go to theleft tower drop down and get a javalin. Then go bac to the right tower andcontinue going up until you get to the door to the next section and go through.

    Once here go left and you will meet J. After you tal to him go left to thenext room and then go all the way up to the next room. In here go right andthere will be a save point. Exit the save point and go down. Now go right fromhere. In this room just stay near the top and avoid the dancers and go left tothe next room. Continue going left for the next 2 rooms. In here go down andthen right and activate the warp point. Don't warp anywhere and wal j bac outand up the stairs to the room to the right. Avoid the jumping sna es go rightagain to the next room. Now go all the way down and go right to the nextscreen. Once in here drop down to the next place. Go all the way down here anddrop into the next room. In here ill the enemies if you would li e and then goright to the next screen. In here go all the way down to the bottom and goright into the room with a save point. Go bac out then and you can go to thenext boss if you would li e, or level up if your not ready.

    He isn't that bad if you carefully fight him. In the begining use your longdistance souls so you won't get touched. Once your MP is drained run up to hisfoot, duc and start attac ing. If you see his bac foot comming at you runbac wards and wait for him to stop before attac ing again. If he moves awayfrom you run up to him and then repeat the process. Eventually he will spitroc s at you. If your in the correct possition you can really ta e off his HPwhen duc ing and attac ing at his foot. If you do this correctly he shouldn'teven touch you, but if he does he will do quite a bit of damage. Overall itshouldn't be as bad as the last boss and once you beat him remember to pic up

    his orb and then go left to the next room.

    In here be sure to pic up the new ability which will allow you to slide bypressing Down and A! Now go bac to the save point and head all the way bac upto the huge room with the dancers. Then go all the way up and ma e your way tothe nearby save point and save. From here go left and follow it by going left,up, right, and then up. In here go in the left and right rooms to pic up somegold. Then in this room ma e the bull come at you (Your standing to the rightof him) and then jump on his bac and up to the right platform. Go up and illa few of the bone towers and then jump on top of them and get the huge potion.Now go bac to the save point again, save and then exit. Now go down and thistime go right. Slide under the one wall and then go to right to the next stage.

    Once here go up to the top. To get the red potion jump to the right side of thetop, then jump left and then jump again while gliding to get the potion. Thengo right to the next room. Go all the way to the top of this room and then goleft to access the next save point. Go bac out of the save point and go rightto the next room. There now you can go fight the next boss if you would li e,or you can go bac to level up. If you are ready to fight the boss go right andenter the blue room!

    The first part isn't so bad. When her head attaches to her body you want to

    remain as close to her as possible and attac . You may get hurt by her a fewtimes but don't go bac wards. What you want to do is to push her all the wayto the right wall. Once she is there you can attac her repeatidly and shecan't move or attac you! It's too bad this is the easy part. Once she is deada man will ta e her body and now fly above you. Also be sure to duc when youare attac ing her. For the 2nd form you want to equip the s eleton soul andattac from the ground. Jump over the fire attac s and go inbetween the orbsto dodge the lightning attac s. If you get the chance to, attac him with yoursword on the floating flatforms. Don't be afraid to use a HP or MP potion, butonly use one of each if any. Once you beat him its not over yet! There is still1 more form left. The last form he will turn into a lizard. What you want to dois wait for him to come to you. When he is on the roof don't stand directlybelow him. Wait for him to fall and then then attac him while duc ing. If you

    have any MP left be sure to use it. The best time to attac him is when yourduc ing and he stic s out his toung. Beat him, pic up the orb, then go bacand save.

    Now go bac to the boss room again and go right this time to the next room.Once in here go up right away (It's hidden with your health) so you are nowoutside the castle. Slowly ill all of the enemies out here because if youdon't they will haunt you the whole way up. Once at the top of here go leftand pic up the sword and then go right to pic up a new yellow soul to let youwal on water!!! Now go all the way bac to the room where you fought the veryfirst boss. From here go right one room and then down. Then go left to the nextroom and swim all the way to where you can go up. Be sure to equip the soul toallow you to wal on water and jump up and go right to the next stage.

    In here continue going right until you get to a save point. Then exit the savepoint and go all the way left until you get to the water fountain. To the leftof it should be a platform that goes up and down, get on that and ta e it up.Then go right and pic up the map. Then go up the platform in this screen andthen go left to the next room. Now ta e the platform up to the next floor andgo right to the next screen. Go right without falling down and go right to thenext screen which will now warp you into the s y. Go right to the next tower,fighting the enemies you want. Again you can explore this new tower or just goright to the next tower. In here go right and when you can drop down do so.Then go left to gain access to another save point. Exit the save point, go bacup, and this time go right. Now go left again and eep going left until you getto the next area.

    Once you arrive here you will meet up with Graham. After your done tal ing goleft to the next room. Follow the tower down to the next screen. In here godown and to the right to the next room. In here go down again and go right togo into a save point. Save it and then go left to catch up with Yo o. Thenfollow the cloc tower up until you reach a choice where you want to go. Go upand you will encounter a previous boss that you fought. After you beat him goup right to the next room. In here go all the way up and to the save point on

    the right. You can now either level up some more or go to the left to fightthe next boss.

    Difficulty: ****/*****It wouldn't be a Castlevania game without Death, Dracula's close aside. For his

    first form you have to defeat his Scythe. He will fire little syphes at you,simply dodge them. He will do some major damage if you get hit by anything sobe careful. His second form isn't so bad as long as you are ready for any move.When he is on the ground jump over him and always duc while attac ing him. Ifhe throws his Scythe be ready to jump over it before you see it on the screenbecause it comes fast. Once you beat him you will obtain his blue soul whichfires Scythes in all directions.

    After you beat him go right and get the new ability which will allow you to nowgo into the water! Bac trac to the room where you last met Yo o. To the left

    of there was a place where you could sin in the water, go down there and goleft first to the next room. In here go down and left to the next room. In heredodge the spi es by manuvering around them and sliding and go right to the nextroom. Go down and left to the next room. In here you will find some new clothsto really boost up your defense. (Press down and A to drop off of the boxes)Then bac trac until you have an intersection that you can go right on. Go inhere and swing all the way right until you get the new sword. Go bac and thengo up to the spot where you first came in at. You can go bac to save it orthis time progress right to the next room. Keep going down until you reach anintersection. Go right and you will reach a warp point. Warp to the farthestleft warp point. You can buy/sell items from Hammer or go right to the firstsave point. In hereyou will encounter a boss you beat before, so ill him and go left to the nextroom. Now go down and right to the next stage. Continue right until you get tothe floating platforms. Go right on one and then jump to the one that will ta eyou up. Then go left and you will gain access to another warp point. Don't warp

    anywhere and exit this room and go all the way to the bottom and go left to thenext screen. Go all the way left until you reach the next cut scene. Here Yo ojust got stabbed by Graham! Soon Genya comes in from behind to find her dead.Go right (not left!) to the next room and then go down and right to the nextstage.

    Remember all of those people wal ing around bac there that couldn't hurt you?Well if you haven't guessed it this is your boss! Oh, and now they can hurtyou. You want to either attac him and run cloc wise or countercloc wise aroundthe room attac ing him. When your going up or down the steps is when you wantto use your soul attac s, you should use an attac that can attac both aboveand below you. Beware when attac ing on the steps though, because enemies canfall onto those steps and catch you by surprise. Whenever you see an enemy illhim right away because if you don't he will be there for the rest of the fight.

    repeat this process until you get to his core. Watch out for his ray attac ,once you reach his core. When you beat his core he is dead.

    Go bac left and save. Then go bac to the boss room and head right this time.When you can go up, go to the left room and get the blue potion. Then go outand now go bac down and to the right to the next room. Go all the way rightand get the new ability. Now go to the room where Yo o was just slain and goleft from here to the next stage.

    In here go left and then go all the way up in the large room, trying to avoidthe blue s eletons. Once you go up to the new room go right and you will be inanother new warp point. Only warp if you are low on HP and then come bac to

    this point. Exit the warp point room and you can do a side quest if you haveenough HP.

    *Side Quest*You can also come bac here after you get to the save point. Go left from thewarp point and then go up to the next room. Then go left to the next room andeep going until you get the new sword. It's alot better than the one you havenow, then go bac to the warp point to continue where we left off.

    and then go left to a new save point. Now go right and it's time for achallenge. I suggest going ta ing the elevator down one level. In here dodgethe medusa heads the best you can, and when you see the red switch inbetweenthe spi es jump on it. This will reverse the spin of the platforms. Avoid thebig blue guy and slide under the wall and then go right to the next screen. Inhere get the new sword which will increase your attac by alot. Slide under thespi e chain and ma e your way bac to the save point. Don't be afraid to use 1potion, but don't use any more than that. Come out of the save point and thistime don't ta e the elevator anywhere and just go straight across. The beginingis the only tough part of this room. Ta e out both devils and then jump overthe statues feet and hands in the bac ground. Ta e out each of the devils oneat a time and you shouldn't have a problem dodging their attac s. When you getto the chain ball at the end face the wall and use your sword on it. Keephitting the ball then it is comming at you and build momentum to ram it intothe wall. Go inside and get the new clothes and then go bac to the save point.Ma e sure you ill the devils one at a time when you exit, because you won'tma e it if you try to gun it! Now ta e the elevator down to the lowest floorand go right for the last challenge. This one is the easiest one, simply get onthe floating platform and ride it until it gets to the first column. A red dotwill appear on it. If you examin it closly you will see that it loo s li e aD-Pad. Simply tap the D-pad in the direction that the red dot is in. Don't messup or you'll be thrown into the blue s eletons who won't li e your visit. Hereis the order that the columns light up in:

    Column 1: Left, RightColumn 2: Up, DownColumn 3: Left, Down, UpColumn 4: Up, Up, DownColumn 5: Up, Left, Down, Up

    Awww, Konami I'm dissapointed. You should have put in the classic Konami codefor this section! (Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, Startfor those who didn't now it, shame on you!) Anyway once you complete all 5columns the wall will open up and you can get a new ring which increases yourluc . Get out the fun way (Dodging the enemies) and save. Level up if you needto and then it is time to face one of my favorite boss's in this game by goingdown the elevator and then go left.

His second form isn't as bad. His left eye will open andyou will simply have to jump over the first he summons while attac ing thateye.

    After you beat him go left to the next room and get the new blue soul whichwill allow you to morph into a bat!!! Wal bac into the boss room and you willtal with J. Go bac to the save point and from here equip the bat and go up 2rooms. Explore the 2 small rooms here which have $1,000 and a cape and then go

    bac to the save point and save. Now go to the warp point and warp all the wayto the far left warp. You can stoc up on items and then go right to your firstsave point. Then ma e your way to the 2nd save point and then go up to the nextroom. Go right again to the next room. Now go up and fly to the grey spot thatyou missed before. In here go right and then up to the next room. Then go upagain to the next room. Finally go left and you will activate another warppoint. Don't warp anywhere and go down and right. Keep going right until youget to the new stage.

Exit the warppoint and then go up to the top and then go left to the next room. In here goup to the next room. Follow this room up and then go up to the next room. Inhere go past the first intersection and at the 2nd go right to go into a newsave point. Exit the save point and go down and left to the next room. In heredo down to where the Red Minotaur is and press down and A to drop to the bottomof this room. Go left until you can go down to the next room. In here jump pastthe Iron Golem (Unless you want to use the iller mantle red soul to ill himin about 1 shot) and brea the wall to the right. Inside you will find theHippogryph which will allow you to do a high jump by pressing L in the air. You

    can then go bac to the save point. Believe it or not, you are about to facethe next boss. You can go around and explore some more and gain moreexperience, or if your ready go out of the save point and then go all the wayup to the top and wait for the night to lift up his sword and let you through.Go left and this scene should loo quite well. Enter the door and it's time forthe fight!

Forhis second form dodge his hands that will swing at you from the left to theright. Also beware of his lightning that he will fire from the top. He also

    will close both hands at once. If you watch his hands closely a spar oflightning will come out just before he swings at you. Attac Graham in themiddle until he dies and then you will get the OK ending.

    ------------------------------( Better Ending )--------------------------------

    I now that ending was bad. So If you want the good ending you will need tosolve the puzzle of the antient boo s. Loo at your enemy list and see whichones match. If your too lazy to do that, then it is the Flame Demon for the redsoul, Giant Bat for the second, and Succubus for the third. Then go bac andfight Graham again and beat him. Then you will tal with Genya Ari ado and hewill tell you that your evil must be stopped. Go left to the next room and picup Dracula's tunic and the Blac Panther blue soul and then head all the waybac to the Garden. Remember that blac door that you couldn't get past beforein the s y? (It's below the save point) Well you will need to go there andinside that room. You will find that the blac cloud is now gone. InsideJulius will feel the need to ill you.

    He can be one tough coo ie. You should notice a few familiar Castlevania songsin the bac ground. Anyway This is one typical Belmont, he will whip, slide,and dodge any time you try to attac . Use your souls to attac when possibleand try to swing at him when he is in the air or when you can duc on theground. After a few minutes he will use his sub weapons. When you see the hugeholy cross come up slide in the opposite direction as him. Other than that usethe same tactics as above to avoid him. If you played just about anyCastlevania game in the past you will now what sub weapons he has and how tododge them. He has them all so beware. Don't be afraid to use potions to heal

    yourself. Defeat him to open the portal to the left.

    Here is a useful tactic from Happy lac ey"I simply go intobattle having a couple of mind potions or mana prismsand use death's scythe ability. All you need to do issimply activate the scythes and avoid J by leapingover his head or bac ward. Sometimes when he getsclose, 4 or more scythes will hit him at once ta ingupwards of 60 hp a hit. I also recommend being atlevel 40 at the very least and also using theheadhunter ability in conjunction with the scythe ability."

Save and then go bac out and down to the room on theleft. In here go down to the next room. Continue going right until you can goup. Go up and then right to the next room. Then go up and left to a new room.Swim up and go right to the next room to get the Mind high potion and then goleft. Go all the way left and then go all the way down and right to the nextroom. In here go right and then up to the next room. Follow it left and upuntil you get to the boss door. Go right here to save first, then go out andenter the final, true boss room...

    After you are drained from Dracula's 3 souls, you will fight Chaos. For thefirst part attac each soul at a time. Don't attac all 3 at once. Once one isdead you can focus on the other 2. The first form isn't that tough, but nowit's time for the 2nd form. He will summon a huge sna e. Your goal is to attacthe blac core as many times as you can. Try your best to avoid the sna e whenit comes at you. When he fires the green things from the middle duc and youshould dodge them. Once Chaos is dead sit bac and enjoy the good ending. Youdeserve it. Congradulations!!

    This is more less a side quest so you don't have to do this stage, however itdoes contain some good weapons and you do have to explore it if you want 100%of you map complete. Go to the Underground Reservoir and go right until you getto the Waterfall. Equip the Undine soul to be able to wal on water, then equipthe Curly, Devil or Manticore blue soul and go right to the next screen. Inhere continue right until you get to the next room. Once here continue going as

    far up as you can and press the red yellow button to allow access to the Study.Then go bac down as far as you can and this time go right. Kill or avoid theAlura Une depending on your level and continue going right and down to the nextscreen. Go right to the pirate ship and equip the S ula soul to wal in thewater. Go to the bottom left part of this room and brea a wall to reviel ahidden room. Go inside and obtain the item and then go bac out. Now go all theway right inside the pirate ship and right to the next room. Then drop all theway down and go left to the next room. The rest of this stage is one way andwill lead you to a very valuable sword.
