The flexible side arms with variable inclination can be individually adjusted,

The lenses in the welding safety goggles filter out all types of rays, such as UV rays, IR rays and visible glare. Different protective levels are available depending on the area of application. Welding filters made from polycarbonate with our infradur PLUS coating, provide higher levels of mechanical protection than welding filters made of glass or laminated glass. Grey welding safety goggles available in various protection classes filter out UV rays, IR rays and visible glare while maintaining perfect colour recognition in accordance with EN 166 + EN 169 + EN 172. The new grey lenses ensure perfect colour recognition, so that they can be used both as sunshields and in welding safety goggles. Guar-anteed permanent anti-fogging properties on the inside and extreme scratch-resistance on the outside, which keeps damage from weld-ing sparks to an absolute minimum.

Lenses coated with uvex optidur NCH are extremely sc ratch-resistant

and are also highly resistant to chemicals. The lacquer system features

nano technology, considerably increasing its non-stick properties.

As a result, water-based and oily marks can be removed effortlessly.

Lenses coated with uvex supravision NCH combine the advantages of

uvex optidur NCH and uvex optidur 4C PLUS. They are scratch-resistant

and non-fogging on the inside, while the outside is extremely scratch-

proof, resistant to chemicals and very easy to clean thanks to nano-

technology, resulting in a top-class coating.

Coating technologySafety Eyewear

Lenses coated with uvex variomatic darken within

10 seconds, providing the wearer with 100 % protec-

tion against UV radiation, and return to their original

tint after 30 seconds – faster reactions than any other

coating. These lenses are especially suitable for

workers who frequently alternate between inside and

outside work or between light and dark environments.

uvex supravision extreme lenses prevent moisture

from accumulating to ensure a permanent antifog

effect – the lenses cannot steam up. Spectacles and

goggles with uvex supravision extreme coating tech-

nology are especially suitable for environments with

high air humidity and condensation.

The fog free performance of the new uvex supravision

performance is three times greater than that required

by the standard. This coating is perfect for sudden ex-

posure to condensation and work environments which

demand that lenses be frequently cleaned. The anti-

fog coating is permanent.

Our unique uvex supravision HC-AF technology

enables us to apply a coating which makes the lens

extremely scratch-resistant on the outside and

permanently antifog on the inside. It also provides

100 % UV protection.

uvex optidur 4C PLUS combines 4 features in one lens

for permanent antifog, scratchproof and antistatic

properties plus 100 % UV protection.

uvex infradur PLUS welding lenses protect against

ultraviolet and infra-red radiation as well as glare. The

coating minimises welding spark damage.

uvex ultradura is an inexpensive coating that gives

lenses a good level of scratch resistance and com-

pletely absorbs harmful UV radiation.

Suitable for use with prescription glasses

Overspecs and goggles, must be able to provide a

pressure-free fit when worn in conjunction with pre-

scription spectacles. We meet this requirement

through excellent design engineering and the use of

high tech materials.

Rapid developments in laser technology mean that laser protection is becoming ever more important in terms of personal safety. New laser applications in all areas of industry, research and medicine demand new and unique safety and protection solutions. laservision, a member of the uvex group is one of the leading global producers of laser protection products. It develops, manufactures and distributes laser protection glasses, large-scale laser protection (mobile screens and safety curtains), small filters and cabin windows for all laser types and applications.

Based on physical properties, such as radiation intensity and focusing

capability (spatial coherence), laser light is potentially very hazardous,

particularly for the eyes. The valid laser protective norms (EN 207 and

EN 208) and safety regulations (BGV B2) stipulating the wearing of

laser safety eyewear are the response to these hazards.

This laser safety eyewear with coated or absorbent special lenses and

plastics is a core focus of the laservision product portfolio. We have

more than 30 years of experience in this technology. At the same time,

laservision offers an extensive range of glass and plastic filter

materials as windows for installation in machine housings, partitions

and curtains.

For automated laser processing operations, i.e. operations which are

not under constant surveillance, to be classified as test class T1, Euro-

pean standard EN 60825-4 housing must maintain a survival rate of

30,000 seconds. However, where laser output and radiation intensity

are constantly on the increase, rates of this order are no longer achiev-

able with passive protection systems, particularly in the case of win-

dow materials.

The newly patented active cabin window system from laservision

provides the ideal and simplest solution to this problem in the form of

integrated electronics installed within the safety circuitry of the laser

system.

When laser beams hit the plastic pane with enough output to activate

the sensor integrated in the frame, the laser is immediately switched

off before hazardous radiation can be transmitted through the pane.

The system gives users a complete CE-certified class T1 system in line

with the applicable machine construction directive. In combination

with an active cabin wall system, this makes a complete and certifiable

solution available for industrial high-performance laser units operating

in the 820 to 1100 nm wavelength spectrum.

Alternatively, it is possible to screen out laser radiation by mechanical

means and to protect potentially endangered personnel during laser

operation in this way. Screening against laser radiation may take the

form of curtains, partitions or even fixed insulating walls. These can be

installed in the workplace, or they may be integrated in machinery

housing. laservision offers standard and customer-specific solutions

for screening which comply with the applicable standards. On account

of the wide range of possible materials and solutions, we advise our

customers on their protection issues in situ at their own premises in

order to find the best possible solution.

laservision, in cooperation with the uvex academy offers a programme

of modular courses on laser safety. These feature compulsory annual

laser safety training together with special courses for those responsible

for laser safety, advanced customised seminars, an internship in laser

safety and measuring techniques.

International research projects in the field of laser safety in conjunction

The use of intelligent, ultra modern materials and manufacturing tech-niques enables uvex to design frames that have a low profile, are lightweight and offer high levels of protection. The frame combines hard and soft materials and the soft TPU layer seals the eyes whilst allowing the wearer to achieve an individual fit. It is also easy to clean and maintain. The low weight of just 46 grams makes them com-fortable to wear even for long term use. The high quality, wide, fully adjustable headband provides a secure pressure free fit.

Welding Protection

A new generation of welding protection eyewear

available with different grey-tint lenses and various

protection classes. The innovative technology affords

protection from UV and infrared light while maintaining

perfect colour recognition in accordance with EN 172.

The special uvex infradur AF coating has anti-fog proper-

ties which prevents the inside of the lenses misting up

and the extreme scratch-resistance on the outside keeps

damage from welding sparks to an absolute minimum.

This new case was specially developed primarily with goggles with strong curvature in mind (e.g. i-vo).In addition to its convenient char-acteristics of a belt buckle and a practical snap hook, this hard case also stands out due to its innova-tive and fashionable design. The goggles are embedded in the soft interior, and are also excellently protected from external mechanical influences by the extremely robust construction of the case.

A practical introductory seminar on the use of PPE products for eye protection.
