Cutting Notes: Mark and store your cutting pieces according to the block they have been assigned to, as this will make it much easier when you start piecing. Be sure to read the entire pattern before you begin.

Block AssemblyPress seams open unless otherwise stated. All seams are 1/4”.

1. Using a fabric marking pen, draw a diagonal line across each 2⅞” Fabric A square. (Fig. 1)

2. Pin (2) 2⅞” Fabric A squares to each Fabric B, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K 5¼” squares. The Fabric A squares will overlap, and the drawn lines will make a continuous diagonal line across the 5¼” squares. Sew ¼”on either side of the diagonal line. Cut the pieces apart on the line. Press. (Fig. 2)

3. Pin a 2⅞” Fabric A square to the corner of each piece from the step above, so that the drawn line bisects the piece. Sew ¼” on either side of the line, and cut apart on the line. Press. Make (40) Flying Geese of each print, trim and square to 2½” x 4½”. (Fig. 3)

4. Sew the flying geese together into two columns as shown, Column A and Column B. Press, trim and square to 4½” x 16½”. (Fig. 4)

5. Sew the columns together into blocks as shown, with the 4½” x 16½” Fabric B rectangle between them, the 2½” x 16½” Fabric C rectangle on the right and Fabric D rectangle on the left. Press, trim and square to 16½”. Make (20) Blocks. (Fig. 5)

6. Sew the blocks together into rows of (4), referring to the Quilt Assembly Diagram on Page 4 for the placement and orientation of blocks in each row. Sew the rows together to make the quilt top. (Fig. 6)

7. Make the backing approx. 72” x 88”. Layer the quilt top with batting and backing; baste. Quilt as desired.

8. Sew the 2¼”x WOF Fabric E strips together on the diagonal end to end to make the binding. Sew the binding around the quilt top. Turn the binding to the back and secure in place by hand or machine. Label and enjoy!
