CAGA TIO
The “Caga Tió” log, poops gifts and sweets on Christmas.
Cap d´any
On New Year's eve is traditional to eat twelve grapes.
CASTANYADA
The Castanyada is on the 1st November.
This day we eat panellets and chestnuts.
ELS CASTELLERSA Castell is a human tower built
traditionally during festivals.
The “Mona de Pasqua” is a cake that we eat with boiled eggs and
chocolate.
Festa Major
In the annual festivals, called “Festa Major”, there are papier
maché giants and big heads and also “Correfocs”, a group of
people dressed as devils that light fireworks.
SANT JOANOn “Sant Joan” eve, bonfires are
lit in the streets and there are fireworks
Sant Jordi
On the 23rd April, “Sant Jordi”, people give their lovers a rose and
a book.
La Sardana
The sardana is a catalan folk dance
